  • Patent number: 11428270
Abstract: Rotating equipment includes driver equipment, driven equipment and a rotating shaft coupling. The driver equipment includes a driver support connected to a stationary driver shaft, and also includes a driver arranged on the driver support with a driving shaft to rotate and provide a rotational torque. The driven equipment includes a driven unit support connected to a stationary driven unit shaft, and also includes a driven unit arranged on the driven unit support with a driven shaft to respond to the rotational torque and rotate. The rotating shaft coupling couples the driving shaft to the driven shaft and applies the rotational torque from the driving shaft to the driven shaft. The stationary driver shaft couples to the stationary driven unit shaft to provide a static torque load to counteract the rotational torque applied from the driving shaft to the driven shaft during operation.

  • Patent number: 11411881
Abstract: User identities can managed at an organization level, instead of across multiple individual resource accounts. In a resource provider environment, access to various resources and services may require users to have identities with specific resource accounts. Users can instead be associated with organization accounts, or virtual accounts that are not associated with specific resources or services. The organization accounts are attached at the appropriate location(s) in an organizational hierarchy. A user having an organization account can project the identity in any sub-account in the organization hierarchy. This can include any lower-level resource account, or can child accounts under a relevant branch of the hierarchy. A user can validate against the organization account, and receive access to the relevant service or resources using the identity projected in the corresponding resource account.

  • Publication number: 20220247934
Abstract: Methods and systems for calibrating a transmission electron microscope are disclosed. A fiducial mark on the sample holder is used to identify known reference points so that a current collection area and a through-hole on the sample holder can be located. A plurality of beam current and beam area measurements are taken, and calibration tables are extrapolated from the measurements for a full range of microscope parameters. The calibration tables are then used to determine electron dose of a sample during an experiment at a given configuration.

  • Patent number: 11399138
Abstract: Control system configured for sample tracking in an electron microscope environment registers a movement associated with a region of interest located within an active area of a sample under observation with an electron microscope. The registered movement includes at least one directional constituent. The region of interest is positioned within a field of view of the electron microscope. The control system directs an adjustment of the electron microscope control component to one or more of dynamically center and dynamically focus the view through the electron microscope of the region of interest. • Publication number: 20220230402
Abstract: Image processing techniques for rendering holographic images are described. Image data captured from cameras can be converted into a triangle mesh. The triangle mesh may be processed by determining the location of edges, normals, and edge distances in the mesh. Mesh and edge smoothing can be performed on the mesh to reduce noise and jagged edges. Additional mesh cleanup and simplification can be performed to reduce the number of vertices and triangles and enhance the qualify of the mesh. Data from the resulting mesh can be transmitted to a receiving device where the mesh data is used to reproduce a holographic image of the image data captured by the depth sensors.

  • Publication number: 20220191042
Abstract: Devices and techniques for secure transmission of content over third-party networks are provided. Keys are established for secure transport of content between a source and recipient via a third party. The source generates a content package that includes an encrypted payload, and a payload handler. In some instances, the content package may also include user interface code for obtaining a secret from the recipient. The content package may be signed (e.g., the message content hashed and the result of the hash added to the content package). The content package is transmitted over a connection to a content delivery service for delivery to recipient(s) via another connection. The content delivery service receives the package and forwards the package to recipient(s) without decrypting the payload. A recipient receives the package from the content delivery service, validates the package and decrypts the payload. The payload may be presented to a display application.

  • Publication number: 20220184835
Abstract: A vegetable slicing shield includes a root, a u-shaped handle, and a plurality of tines. The root is medially disposed between the u-shaped handle and the tines. The u-shaped handle is coupled with the root at opposing lateral regions of a first side of the root. The plurality of tines have first ends coupled with a second side of the root and extending outward from the root to second ends which form a row spaced apart points. Open slots are defined between adjacent tines of the plurality of tines. A subset of the tines are shaped between their first ends and their second ends to form slices of a containment basket which is curved in three-dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20220130637
Abstract: A fluid metering system for gas independent pressure and flow control through an electron microscope sample holder includes: a pressure control system that supplies gas; an inlet line providing gas from the pressure control system to the sample holder; an outlet line receiving gas from the sample holder; and a variable leak valve that controls gas flow in the outlet line. The gas flows from an upstream tank of the pressure control system through the sample holder and variable leak valve to a downstream tank of the pressure control system due to the pressure difference of the two tanks as the variable leak valve meters flow in the outlet line. Flow rates are established by monitoring pressure changes at source and collection tanks of known volumes with gas independent pressure gauges. A method of directing the gas flow to a residual gas analyzer (RGA) is also presented.

  • Publication number: 20210390767
Abstract: In various examples there is an apparatus for computing an image depicting a face of a wearer of a head mounted display (HMD), as if the wearer was not wearing the HMD. An input image depicts a partial view of the wearer's face captured from at least one face facing capture device in the HMD. A machine learning apparatus is available which has been trained to compute expression parameters from the input image. A 3D face model that has expressions parameters is accessible as well as a photorealiser being a machine learning model trained to map images rendered from the 3D face model to photorealistic images. The apparatus computes expression parameter values from the image using the machine learning apparatus. The apparatus drives the 3D face model with the expression parameter values to produce a 3D model of the face of the wearer and then renders the 3D model from a specified viewpoint to compute a rendered image. The rendered image is upgraded to a photorealistic image using the photorealiser.
