  • Patent number: 9587167
Abstract: To minimize headspace in a storage container and thereby reduce or eliminate alcohol evaporation, concentrated surfactant solutions stabilized by a diluent of higher volatility than the surfactant, such as alcohol, are stored in a flexible bladder fabricated from fabric including an impermeable or semipermeable membrane, such as polyurethane coated fabric. Because the bladder automatically deflates as the fluid level decreases, minimal head space is maintained and evaporation of the alcohol is thus constrained. A rigid support structure may be employed to hold the flexible bladder. With such a storage system, concentrated surfactant solutions may be manufactured at a convenient location for transport to and storage near an injection well, with considerable time between manufacture and application allowed before the surfactant solution degrades by an unacceptable amount.

  • Patent number: 9591649
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for reducing the load on a downlink control channel of a given carrier of a plurality of carriers in a coverage area. As disclosed, a base station may determine that the downlink control channel of the given carrier is threshold loaded. In response to this determination, the base station may then (a) identify a particular subset of the UEs that are currently designated for DCI transmission on the downlink control channel of the given carrier and then (b) take action to de-designate the identified subset of UEs for DCI transmission on the given carrier and instead designate the identified subset of UEs for DCI transmission only on one or more other carriers in the coverage area.

  • Patent number: 9588739
Abstract: Web API recommendations for a context of an application are provided. A ranked list of recommended Web APIs and a set of Web API recommendations regarding the context of the application is sent to a client device via a network. In response to determining that a selection of a set of Web APIs in the ranked list of recommended Web APIs was received, the set of Web APIs selected is added to the context of the application to generate a new context of the application. A display of a relationship among the set of Web APIs added to the new context of the application is sent to the client device via the network.

  • Patent number: 9590299
Abstract: A dual-reflector inter-satellite link (ISL) subsystem, for a communications satellite in a constellation of satellites in low earth orbit or medium earth orbit. The ISL subsystem includes a main antenna reflector which uses a single-axis gimbal to steer the main reflector only in the elevation plane. An antenna subreflector, a horn and RF feed circuitry are stationary with respect to the host satellite. The main reflector has a super-elliptical design which provides a beam shape which requires no steering in the azimuth plane, while meeting ISL signal strength requirements. By steering the main reflector only, and only in the elevation plane, the disclosed ISL subsystem delivers significantly lower size, mass, complexity and cost, and significantly greater reliability, than traditional ISL systems.
