  • Patent number: 9499788
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cell line of lymphocytes comprising ?? T cells, composition and production method thereof, and medical use namely for the use in medicine, namely in cancer immunotherapy. The cell line comprise a sample of human peripheral blood V?1+ ?? T cells expressing functional natural cytotoxicity receptors (NCRs). These V?1+ NCR+ T lymphocytes can directly mediate killing of leukemia cell lines and chronic lymphocytic leukemia patient neoplastic cells. The present invention shows that human V?1+ NCR+ T cells can be differentiated and expanded from total ?? peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs), upon regular in vitro or ex vivo stimulation with ??TCR agonists and ?c-family cytokines. This subset surprisingly expresses NKp30, NKp44 and NKp46, and high levels of Granzyme B that associate with highly enhanced cytotoxicity against lymphoid leukemias.

  • Patent number: 8901458
Abstract: An ice buildup inhibitor is disclosed useful for preventing ice damming, in particular in conjunction with the use of a closed gutter. Heat escape through a roof made warm snow pack, causing it to melt and flow down toward the gutter. After moving away from the heated roof, the water may re-freeze and form an ice dam. In the ice buildup inhibitor may be configured to warm in the closed gutter, thereby preventing the formation of an ice dam. They ice buildup inhibitor may be configured to be easily installed onto an existing closed gutter, enabling responsive installation on only those homes experiencing ice damming.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 29, 2013
Date of Patent: December 2, 2014
Assignee: Board of Regents of the University of Texas System

  • Publication number: 20130266928
Abstract: A demonstration service receives content from various content providers, and maintains the received content. A retailer can access the demonstration service and select various content to include in demonstration experiences for various groups of demonstration devices in a retailer environment. Demonstration experience descriptions identifying the content that is to be presented by a device as a demonstration experience is obtained by the device from the demonstration service. For content that the device does not have, the device attempts to obtain the content from another device in the same retailer environment. If no other device in the same retailer environment has the content, then the device obtains the content from the demonstration service.
