Abstract: A personal care implement having a handle which includes a first rigid portion, a second rigid portion, and an elastomeric portion located therebetween. The first and second rigid portions may have end portion with first and second tabs. The elastomeric portion has a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral surface that extends between the front and rear surfaces. A first groove may be formed between the first tab of the first rigid portion and the first tab of the second rigid portion. A second groove may be formed between the second tab of the first rigid portion and the second tab of the second rigid portion. A first portion of the peripheral surface of the elastomeric portion may form a floor of the first groove and a second portion of the peripheral surface of the elastomeric portion may form a floor of the second groove.

Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

Portions of the handle may be covered with an elastomeric material to increase gripability and comfort. The handle may also include various rib structures elongated along the recess to increase the strength of the handle so that it does not significantly deform during normal use.

The handle has an open thumb gripping passageway extending between an exposed first surface of the handle and an exposed second surface of the handle opposite the exposed first surface. The handle also has a plurality of slots defining open slot passageways from the exposed first surface of the handle to the exposed second surface of the handle. The open thumb gripping passageway may be defined by a ring component that is fitted into an aperture in a body component. The open thumb gripping passageway may be a void space in the handle. The open slot passageways may be elongated along the handle and may serve to reduce a total amount of virgin material needed to manufacture the oral care implement.

Application of an electrical current to the electrically conducting element generates a magnetic field at the electrically conducting element. The magnetic field selectively at least one of attracts and repels the ferromagnetic member to move the movable cleaning element relative to the electrically conducting element.

A plurality of packages, each of which contains an article, is arranged in an internal cavity of the container in single file. The packages may include an aperture so that the packages can be hung from a pegboard hook in a retail display. The hanging apertures may be aligned so that an employee can use the container to slide the packages onto the pegboard hook.

A soft tissue cleaner may be located on the rear surface of the head, the soft tissue cleaner including a protuberance field. A first electrode and a second electrode are each operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. The first and second electrodes may be spaced apart from one another and substantially surround the protuberance field. In other embodiments, the first and second electrodes may be embedded within or otherwise located within the protuberance field.
