Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein provide an improved processor package to determine a connection type between the package and an external circuit and to optimize processor performance based on the connection type. As a non-limiting example, a processor package consistent with the present disclosure may include a central processing unit (CPU) die and a plurality of pins (including two connection detection pins) to connect the package to a motherboard. The CPU die may include connection determination logic and execution policy logic, implemented via processor code (“p-code”), as well as a more typical processor.

Abstract: A non-antimicrobial cleansing composition is disclosed comprising from about 10.0 wt. % to less than about 40 wt. % of one or more C1-C8 alcohols; about 0.5 wt. % to about 10.0 wt. % of at least one primary surfactant; 0 wt. % to about 10.0 wt. % of at least one secondary surfactant, with the primary and secondary surfactants having an HLB value greater than 8; a pH adjusting agent; and water. The composition does not achieve a microbial kill level greater than 2.0 log.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product for performing hybrid location monitoring of a mobile device. While performing region monitoring for a set of regions, a mobile device enters a first region. Upon entering a region, the mobile device requests region information for the region from a web server. Using the region information, the mobile device determines whether to enable location updates while within the region. Upon exiting the region, the mobile device determines whether to disable location updates. While performing location updates, the location of the mobile device can be tracked and be determined to be within other contained or partially contained irregularly shaped geofences.

Abstract: A gas pressure regulator regulates a pressure of a gas system. The gas pressure regulator includes a first chamber, a first diaphragm which separates the first chamber into a first compartment and a second compartment, a second chamber, with a second diaphragm separating the second chamber into a third compartment and a fourth compartment, the fourth compartment being connected to, and in communication with, the first compartment of the first chamber. A movement of the first diaphragm causes a corresponding movement of the second diaphragm, and a change in the volume of the fourth compartment.

Abstract: A variety of processes for certifying the reporting of advertising impressions provided via video games are described. These certification processes optionally take advantage of automated techniques for verifying that when advertising data is provided a corresponding advertisement is provided within the video game. In addition, as software patches are often provided for video games, a recommended process for certifying patched software is also described. Reporting data associated with advertising impressions provided from uncertified video games is considered suspect and optionally discarded.

Abstract: A device-mounted infrared (IR) camera and a hybrid visible/IR light projector may be used to project visible animation sequences along with invisible (to the naked eye) tracking signals, (e.g. a near IR fiducial marker). A software (or firmware) platform (either on the handheld device or to which the device communicates) may track multiple, independent projected images in relation to one another using the tracking signals when projected in the near-IR spectrum. The resulting system allows a broad range of new interaction scenarios for multiple handheld projectors being used in any environment with adequate lighting conditions without requiring the environment to be instrumented in any way.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a repeater and base station control device implemented in a wireless communication system. The repeater includes a control unit capable of detecting signals sent from various base stations in the wireless communication system. In accordance with this disclosure, the repeater identifies a set of base stations that it can detect, and then sends information indicative of the set of base stations that the repeater can detect to a specific base station that gets repeated by the repeater. In this manner, the repeater can be used to help assess network topology. The base station control device receives the information from the base station and can use the information to update a neighbor list.

Abstract: In order to enhance visual representation of an advertisement within a video game optical characteristics of the advertisement are specified. Specifically, downloaded data corresponding to an advertisement is used to provide an advertising image within a virtual environment of a video game. The advertising image is displayed having a portion that appears to be at least one of transmissive and reflective. In this way, advertisements are displayed in a fashion consistent with the appearance of a corresponding advertisement in the real world.
