  • Publication number: 20200094275
Abstract: A distribution system for delivering preheated epoxy material for spray application includes a bundle of lines that terminate on their far end in a manifold. The distribution system is uniquely constructed in a manner such that it delivers the correct materials individually to the manifold while maintaining separate flows of the materials. This separation of the materials until ready for spraying prevents mixing of the two-part epoxy which at the elevated delivery temperatures would result in early curing of the epoxy within the delivery system itself. The bundle of lines contains at least one and preferably two base epoxy delivery lines, at least one catalyst delivery line, at least one heating circuit and an auxiliary heater at the manifold end. The manifold terminates in a static mixer that in turn delivers the mixed epoxy to a spray head for spray application to the substrate.

  • Patent number: 10584822
Abstract: A method and system for evaluating the interior surface and exterior wall conditions of a pipeline while also dynamically installing a repair coating in a pipeline, such as an underground water pipeline. The system is towed into the pipeline and drawn back therethrough. As the system is drawn back, one module in the system evaluates the surface condition of the interior of the pipe and another module evaluates the structural condition of the wall of the pipe. Based on the evaluation data obtained from the two modules an epoxy material is applied to the interior surface of the pipe using a spin cast machine that is drawn behind the two modules. Preferably, a layer of epoxy is applied to the interior surface of the host pipe to the appropriate thickness based on the pipe condition as determined by the two modules.

  • Publication number: 20200049005
Abstract: A method for repairing in-ground tunnel structures including the steps of: a) cleaning the structure to be lined; b) preparing a sheet of composite liner onto a roller; c) applying resin to the wall of the tunnel; d) dispensing said sheet into said resin using said roller and e) bedding the liner composite into the applied resin. The process can then be repeated along the length of the tunnel in a sheet by sheet fashion.

  • Publication number: 20190352447
Abstract: A resin composition and method for installing a pipe liner that allows the liner to be fully wet out with a resin and activator and stored for a period of up to six months prior to installation and curing. A method of lining a pipe with a delayed curing resin composition is also provided that includes fully wetting out a liner with a blended two part epoxy composition such that the liner can be transported in a wet out fashion, placed in a pipe to be lined and repositioned as needed without concern for the resin composition to begin curing.

  • Publication number: 20190347951
Abstract: The present invention provides a virtual reality vehicle and/or equipment training system and platform within contextually relevant simulated environments. The system and platform will simulate accurate vehicle and/or equipment dynamics of various vehicles through vehicle modules. The simulated vehicles and/or equipment will be placed within contextually relevant simulated physical environments, and will be able to communicate with other vehicle modules and users of the platform. The system and platform allows for multiple simulated vehicles and/or equipment to exist and interact in the same simulated physical environment. The system allows for rapid development of trainers for different vehicles, different equipment, different physical environments, and different scenarios.

  • Publication number: 20190308078
Abstract: A portable device for cleaning golf balls and golf clubs is provided. The device may include a hollow, impermeable housing and an impermeable lid. Situated on the lid beneath the lid inner surface is a plunger with a saddle in which to rest a golf ball. The device also contains a plurality of cleaning mechanisms disposed within an inner cavity of the housing and arranged to form a channel, so that when a user submerges and reciprocates the plunger, the golf balls are cleaned. The device may further include a spray nozzle to dispense cleaning solution onto golf clubs. A tee holder, divot fixer holder, and towel holder may also be coupled to the exterior of the housing. The device is preferably sized and shaped to be disposed within or coupled to a golf bag or golf cart.

  • Publication number: 20190275538
Abstract: A method and system for the spray application of epoxy materials is provided. The system includes a dual walled tank structure as a reservoir for containing and preheating the epoxy materials in preparation for mixing and spray application. Each component of the epoxy material is preheated before the components are mixed. After preheating, the components are then mixed together and spray applied. The method and system of the present invention provides a high quality spray applied epoxy coating while reducing equipment down time and cleaning.

  • Publication number: 20190242516
Abstract: A method and system for applying a liner to an underground utility structure is provided. First a layer of epoxy is applied to the interior surface of the host pipe using a machine such as a spincast machine. A dry liner is inverted into the pipe directly behind the coating application at a limited speed and pressure. A drag is set on the inversion equipment relative to the speed of the epoxy spinner unit to control inversion speed. Once the liner is completely inverted the internal pressure of the liner is raised and infused into the uncured epoxy.

  • Publication number: 20180224045
Abstract: A modular plug for installation into large diameter pipelines that provides a reliable and secure seal within the pipeline to be serviced thereby increasing the safety of the people working on the secured side of the plug. The plug is modular in construction and suited for easy installation within large pipelines. The plug is generally formed as a large circular plate formed from modular sections. Along the division lines the plug pieces include grooves and a gasket therein. Reinforcing jacks extend outwardly from the plug and exert pressure against the pipeline to retain the plug geometry and position. Also, around the periphery of the plug is shown an inflatable rubber seal.
