  • Patent number: 9339100
Abstract: A lanyard attachment assembly has a sleeve with an inside surface and an outside surface. The inside surface defines a passageway through the sleeve. A strap passes through the passageway and forms a closed loop to link the closed loop to the sleeve. The assembly optionally includes a connector with a connector opening therethrough. When the assembly includes a connector, the strap passes through the connector opening where the closed loop links the connector to the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20160095421
Abstract: A lanyard apparatus for a rolled product includes a flexible strap having first and second strap ends and a body portion between the strap ends. The first strap end is secured to the body portion at an attachment point to define a first loop. A hollow tubular member is installed over the body portion between a second strap end portion and the attachment point. The second strap end portion extends from the tubular member and has an opening sized to permit passage of the first loop therethrough to thereby define an openable second loop. The tubular member has a first arm, a second arm spaced apart from the first arm, a transverse part extending transversely between and connecting a lower first arm portion and a lower second arm portion, and an upper transverse portion extending transversely from an upper second arm portion and aligned with the transverse part.

Abstract: A lanyard slider includes a plate-like slider body having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side portion, and a second side portion. The plate-like slider body defines at least one cord opening extending longitudinally therethrough along a cord opening axis extending between the bottom surface and the top surface, where the cord opening is sized to receive a lanyard cord. The lanyard slider also has at least one implement holder that is contiguous with and extends from the slider body. Each implement holder has a first holder sidewall and a second holder sidewall extending in opposed and spaced apart relation, where the first holder sidewall and the second holder sidewall define therebetween an implement passageway extending along a holder passageway axis and having an elongated cross-sectional shape.

  • Publication number: 20160067862
Abstract: A drop-prevention pouch for a cordless power tool has a battery pack that defines a battery pack perimeter. The drop-prevention pouch includes a pouch floor and a sidewall extending transversely from the pouch floor and having a sidewall rim portion defining a pouch opening. The pouch floor and the pouch sidewall define a chamber sized to receive the battery pack when the battery pack is attached to the cordless power tool. A flexible conduit extends along the sidewall rim portion. A drawstring extends through the flexible conduit and is capable of restricting the pouch opening to be smaller than the battery pack perimeter, thereby preventing the drop-prevention pouch from being removed from the battery pack when the battery pack is attached to the cordless power tool.

The drop-prevention pouch includes a pouch floor and a pouch sidewall extending transversely from the pouch floor and having a sidewall rim portion defining a pouch opening. The pouch floor and the pouch sidewall define a chamber sized to receive the battery pack when the battery back is attached to the cordless power tool.

  • Patent number: 9232849
Abstract: A tool lanyard wrist cuff includes a fixed closed loop band and an adjustment tab extending therefrom. A first fastener part of a releasable fastener is fixedly attached to a loop outside surface of the closed loop band. The adjustment tab has a tab inside surface, a tab outside surface, and a distal end portion. The adjustment tab has a second fastener part of the releasable fastener fixedly attached to the tab inside surface of the distal end portion. The second fastener part is configured for releasable engagement with the first fastener part when the adjustment tab is folded with the tab inside surface against the loop outside surface to position the second fastener part in engagement with the first fastener part. A lanyard connector is secured to the distal end portion of the adjustment tab.

  • Patent number: 9169900
Abstract: A shackle assembly has a body that includes a first side member with a first side aperture, a second side member with a second side aperture, and at least one end portion extending between and connecting the first side member and the second side member. At least one of the apertures defines an annular recess. A pin has a first end portion received in the first side aperture, a second end portion received in the second side aperture, and a pin body extending between the first end portion and the second end portion. At least one end portion of the pin defines an annular groove corresponding to the annular recess(es). A retaining ring with a pair of open ends is seated in the annular groove and extends radially into the corresponding annular recess, thereby preventing the pin from being removed from the body.

  • Patent number: 9167884
Abstract: An attachment system for tools includes a housing, a rotating member having a sloping surface and a catch surface disposed in an open central region of the housing, and a clip member having a clip protrusion with a head and neck portions where the neck portion is sized to be slidably receive in one of a first and second slot of the housing where each slot extends through a wall of the housing to the open central region. The clip protrusion engages the sloping surface causing the rotating member to rotate about a central longitudinal axis to a point as the neck portion moves distally along one of the slots where a catch surface aligns with the clip protrusion and where a channel aligns with a clip protrusion of a second clip member retained in the second slot, thereby retaining the first clip member and releasing the second clip member.
