Abstract: A tape measure holder includes a holder body having a first side panel, a second side panel, a bottom panel, a first top portion, a second top portion, a forward-edge portion, a rearward-edge portion, a back end panel and a front strap. A securing mechanism has a first securing portion and a second securing portion connected to or integrally-formed with the first top portion and a second securing portion for interlocking the first top portion to the second top portion. The front strap extends between the forward-edge portion of the first side panel and the forward-edge portion of the second side panel and is positioned adjacent to but spaced a predefined distance from the bottom panel. The holder body is sized and configured to receive a tape measure in a snug manner with the first top portion overlapping the second top portion.

Abstract: A shackle assembly with a unitary body has a closed geometry with a primary opening therethrough. A first side member has a first side aperture extending transversely therethrough with a first inside surface. A second side member is spaced apart from the first side member and has a second side aperture extending transversely at least partially through the second side member. End portions extend between and connect the first side member and the second side member. The second side aperture is opposite the first side aperture and axially aligned with the first side aperture. A pin has a head portion positioned at least partially within the first side aperture and a tip portion positioned at least partially within the second side aperture. A pin body extending between the head portion and the tip portion along a central longitudinal axis and is sized to pass through the first side aperture.

Abstract: A locking clip assembly includes a clip body with a body clamping end, a rear portion and a body hinge portion between the body clamping end and the rear portion, an elongated arm member having a jaw portion, a lever arm portion and an arm hinge portion pivotally connected to the body hinge portion, and a locking member slidably disposed on the rear portion of the clip body where the locking member is movable between an arm member locked position and an arm member unlocked position.

Abstract: A self-closing utility bag for holding small articles includes a pouch with an upper pouch portion, a lower pouch portion, a neck portion between the upper and lower pouch portions, a top opening that is maintained in a partially open orientation, and a self-closing mechanism. The self-closing mechanism includes a first resilient strip disposed parallel to a pouch top opening at a location either adjacent the neck portion in the upper pouch portion but spaced from the pouch top opening or at the neck portion, and a second resilient strip disposed opposite the first resilient strip where the first and second resilient strips maintain the pouch in a closed orientation but having a resilient spring action that allows intruding access to an inside of the lower portion while returning to the closed orientation when the intruding access is removed.

Abstract: A cable tie device has a float portion with a peripheral wall that defines and encloses an internal hollow region with a pre-defined volume. The device also has a head with a passageway therethrough and a resilient catch mechanism disposed in the passageway. A strap connects to the head and has a plurality of cavities in a top surface for engaging the resilient catch mechanism. The float portion is connected to at least one of the head and the strap where the float portion head, resilient catch mechanism, and strap form a cable tie. A method of making is also disclosed.

Abstract: A lanyard attachment assembly has a sleeve with an inside surface and an outside surface. The inside surface defines a passageway through the sleeve. A strap passes through the passageway and forms a closed loop to link the closed loop to the sleeve. The assembly optionally includes a connector with a connector opening therethrough. When the assembly includes a connector, the strap passes through the connector opening where the closed loop links the connector to the sleeve.
