  • Patent number: 11910190
Abstract: Subscriber identity modules can be bound to devices and utilized for authentication. An initial or additional subscriber identity module can be bound to a user device, for instance after successful user authentication by way of an alternate mechanism. A subscriber identity module of a device can be identified, and carrier data associated with the subscriber identity module can be requested and received. A determination can be made regarding whether the subscriber identity module is linked to the device, for instance by an original linkage. A user profile can be automatically updated with the carrier data to bind the user to the user device based on the subscriber identity module when the subscriber identity module is verified to be linked to the user device. Subsequently, the subscriber identity module can be utilized as a basis for authentication.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media utilized for event-based authentication. One method includes recognizing an event and receiving, from a device, a withdrawal request of a user, wherein the withdrawal request includes a captured feature by the device. The method further includes determining that the user is associated with the recognized event using at least a geographic proximity between the event and the withdrawal request, wherein the geographic proximity is a given radius around a location of the event, and wherein the device is within the given radius and adjusting authentication rules based on the determination that the user is associated with the recognized event, wherein the adjustment of the authentication rules includes adjusting a matching threshold between the captured feature and a reference feature. The method further includes processing the withdrawal request for the user based on the adjusted authentication rules.

  • Patent number: 11694188
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system of activating and using a contactless card are disclosed. A mobile device includes a wireless chip structured to allow short-range wireless communications (e.g., a near-field communication), a processor, and a memory storing instructions. The mobile device is configured to communicate with a contactless card via a short-range wireless communication and receive a customer-specific uniform resource locator (URL) from the contactless card via a wireless chip. In response, the mobile device is configured to automatically open a web browser and navigate to a website associated with the customer-specific URL. The customer-specific URL identifying the client associated with the contactless card. The mobile device then prompts, via a GUI on the display, a user for authentication information, and based on a verification of the authentication information, display a confirmation page indicating activation of the contactless card.

  • Publication number: 20230208834
Abstract: Identity management is disclosed that allows authentication of a user for a third party by way of an encrypted token. A biometric signature can be requested for a user of a user device. In response, an encrypted token can be generated based at least in part on the biometric signature. The encrypted token can then be provided back to the user device, which can save the encrypted token to a secure location on the user device accessible by biometric authentication of the user on the user device. An authentication request can be provided from a third party which includes an encrypted token. A determination can be made regarding whether user identity can be confirmed based on the encrypted token. An indication of whether the user identity was confirmed or unconfirmed can then be communicated in response to the authentication request.
