  • Patent number: 11607572
Abstract: Using a combination of jump rope, resistance band and boxing fitness instruments, one can get a robust anaerobic and aerobic exercise experience. However, traditional jump rope equipment requires the operator to be in a location that has ample height and space around them to accommodate the range of the rope being swung around the body. In addition, the ground surface that a traditional jump rope would be hitting may not always be ideal such as carpet, sand, and the like which diminishes the rhythm of the workout. The single unit multi-purpose jump fitness, boxing training and resistance strength device described herein eliminates the need for most of these restrictive considerations as there is no “rope” to jump over when in jump rope workout mode. Rather, the operator swings two specialized end handle units in a “jump rope” fashion while holding adjustable jump handles.

  • Patent number: 11519800
Abstract: Disclosed are pressure sensors including a die and an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mounted on a top surface of a substrate. The pressure sensor can define an inner volume and a bottom opening configured to abut the substrate. The die and ASIC are mounted on the top surface of the substrate within the inner volume. The substrate defines a first aperture therethrough and the die defines a second aperture therethrough in a direction along an axis perpendicular to the substrate, the first aperture and the second aperture being aligned. Metallic barrier(s) disposed on a bottom surface of the substrate, circumferentially about the first aperture, can be at least partially coated with solder mask to reduce or prevent flow of unwanted materials past the metallic barriers and through the first aperture. The substrate can include electrical connection pads on the bottom surface configured to be in communication with a daughter board.

  • Patent number: 11428865
Abstract: A hollow core photonic bandgap optical fibre comprises: a cladding comprising capillaries in a hexagonal array and a hollow core formed by excluding a hexagonal group of nineteen capillaries from the centre of the hexagonal array. The core is inflated. A core size ratio is 1.26 or above, defined as a ratio of the core diameter to the cladding diameter normalized to the ratio of the core diameter to the cladding diameter in an undistorted hexagonal array; a first ring ratio is between 0.55 and 2.50, defined as a ratio of the length of radially aligned struts separating the capillaries of the first ring to the length of a strut in an undistorted hexagonal array; and a core node spacing is between 0.60 and 1.90, where defined as a ratio of a strut length around the core of a largest corner capillary and a strut length around the core of a smallest side capillary. • Patent number: 11429205
Abstract: A stylus having an applied force-sensitive tip-switch is disclosed. The stylus includes a tip-switch responsive to a variable applied force. Control circuitry determines whether the tip-switch has made contact with an object and, if so, the magnitude of the applied force resulting from the contact. The circuitry then encodes a signal that varies with the magnitude of the applied force and transmits the encoded signal to a computing device, enabling the computing device to indicate the two- or three-dimensional path of the tip-switch in the stylus on a computer screen. The circuitry also monitors a manual override switch that activates an encoded override signal for interpretation and use by the computing device while indicating the path of the tip switch on a computer screen.

  • Publication number: 20220122335
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer-readable media (transitory or non-transitory) are described herein for scaling and rendering a virtual hand. According to an example, vision data may be received from a three-dimensional (“3D”) vision sensor. The vision data may capture at least a portion of a user in an environment, and may include data representing the user's hand relative to a touch interaction surface. The vision data may be processed to generate a 3D representation of the user's hand. A scaling center may be identified on the touch interaction surface to scale the 3D representation of the user's hand. The 3D representation of the user's hand may be scaled with respect to the identified scaling center using a scaling factor. The scaling factor may be based on a rendering constraint. A virtual hand may be rendered, e.g., on a display, based on the scaled 3D representation of the user's hand.

  • Patent number: 11290704
Abstract: A method and corresponding system for reconstructing the surface geometry of a three-dimensional object is disclosed. The system comprises a cluster of heterogeneous sensors, including a two-dimensional high-resolution camera and a three-dimensional depth camera, and a turntable operable to rotate incrementally. In operation, the turntable is rotated to first and second positions and two-dimensional and three-dimensional data sets are obtained using the two-dimensional high-resolution camera and the three-dimensional depth camera. Corresponding features from the two-dimensional data sets are identified and used to identify the same corresponding features in the three-dimensional data sets. The three-dimensional corresponding features are used to calculate a three-dimensional homography, which is used to align the three-dimensional data sets. Following alignment, a three-dimensional mesh is generated from the aligned data sets.
