Abstract: Apparatus and methods facilitate analysis of events associated with network and computer systems. Event data, such as security threats, are comparison matched with event rules of event rule sets associated with each network or computer system to determine whether the items are potentially significant. Additionally, the system-event data may be scored where the score is used for prioritizing system-event data as to their significance. Associated with the comparison matching are various analytics that further analyze event data for measuring and analyzing the system-event data according to various algorithms.

  • Publication number: 20150196508
Abstract: The invention provides compositions and methods for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases or disorders, particularly neurodegenerative diseases and disorders associated with protein aggregation. The present invention is based on the discovery of binding regions on the surface of PrPc, referred to as PrPc Binding Domains (PBD). In particular, the inventors have identified six different binding regions on PrPc, referred to herein as PrP-binding domain-1 (PBD-1), PrP-binding domain-2 (PBD-2), PrP-binding domain-3 (PBD-3), PrP-binding domain-4 (PBD-4), PrP-binding domain-5 (PBD-5), and PrP-binding domain-6 (PBD-6), herein. The PBD-1 to PBD-6 are each defined by a cluster of amino acids located in the globular domain of the protein, e.g., in the C-terminal half of the protein (i.e., in residues 120-230). One embodiment uses residues 127-226.

  • Patent number: 8984674
Abstract: A training urinal attachment mountable to the bowl of a toilet. The attachment includes a resiliently collapsible shell having an intake opening that receives a flow of urine from a standing child and a discharge opening that directs the flow into a collection area of the bowl. The shell is mounted on the rim of the bowl in an area that is covered by the seat of the toilet when lowered. When the seat is lowered, the shell compresses to a collapsed configuration in the area between the seat and the rim. When the seat is raised, the shell expands to an erected configuration in which the intake opening extends above the rim to receive the flow of urine. The discharge opening is visible through the intake opening to provide the child with a target to aid in training.
