Abstract: A method and apparatus for synchronizing media content emitted from various sources is presented. Arrival timing of outputs from the various sources to a particular location is determined and adjusted to reduce synchronization delays at the particular location. Synchronization delays may be determined by detecting the media output from a combination of sources arriving at the location. Control messages are generated by processing the detected output and determining delays to be applied to corresponding sources.

Abstract: A system for contextualizing a digital flyer is disclosed. The system includes a polygon mapping module for incorporating contextual information in the digital flyer using polygon mapping information, the polygon mapping information comprising a polygon for defining a polygonal area on a source flyer image of the digital flyer, the polygon being tagged with the contextual information, and a flyer data store for storing the tagged polygon. There is also disclosed for displaying the contextualized digital flyer and generating feedback using the contextualized digital flyer.

Abstract: An electronic workspace may be created from multiple viewer devices. The viewer devices are coordinated so that each exhibits a different visual identification characteristic such as a distinct or unique color. Content can be assigned by way of a user interface in which individual viewer devices are represented by visual icons that exhibit the same visual identification characteristics as the respective viewer devices, so that a user may easily distinguish between the available viewer devices.

Abstract: A system may use multiple speech interface devices to interact with a user by speech. All or a portion of the speech interface devices may detect a user utterance and may initiate speech processing to determine a meaning or intent of the utterance. Within the speech processing, arbitration is employed to select one of the multiple speech interface devices to respond to the user utterance. Arbitration may be based in part on metadata that directly or indirectly indicates the proximity of the user to the devices, and the device that is deemed to be nearest the user may be selected to respond to the user utterance.

Abstract: In the present disclosure, there is disclosed a communication device including a pre-loading module configured to retrieve a first and a second set of flyer image tiles from a flyer image tile set stored in memory, the first set of flyer image tiles being associated with the most zoomedout state and the second set of flyer image tiles being associated with a zoom level of a current viewport. The pre-loading module is further configured to associate the first set of flyer image tiles with an underlay viewport. The communication device further includes a display configured to display the first set of flyer image tiles in the underlay viewport that are visible in the current viewport and overlay the second set of flyer image tiles visible in the current viewport onto the first set of flyer image tiles.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a memory system stores data encrypted with a cipher key in a block of a page in non-volatile memory, reads the cipher key version number associated with the page, determines whether the cipher key version number associated with the page is different from a cipher key version number of the cipher key used to encrypt the data and, if it is, writes a data pattern encrypted with the cipher key into the other blocks of the page, and stores the cipher key version number of the cipher key used to encrypt the data in the storage space in the non-volatile memory. Abstract: A cutterhead for dredging a body of water. The cutterhead comprising a shroud including a top wall, a bottom wall, and two sidewalls each extending between the top and bottom walls. The cutterhead additionally comprises a rotatable cutterbar at least partially received within an interior space presented by the shroud, a first water-jet bar extending along a portion of the top wall of the shroud, and a second water-jet bar extending along at least a portion of one of the two sidewalls. The cutterbar and the water-jet bars are configured to generate a slurry of fluidized material from the water-bed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively ignoring an occurrence of a wakeword within audio input data is provided herein. In some embodiments, a wakeword may be detected to have been uttered by an individual within a modified time window, which may account for hardware delays and echoing offsets. The detected wakeword that occurs during this modified time window may, in some embodiments, correspond to a word included within audio that is outputted by a voice activated electronic device. This may cause the voice activated electronic device to activate itself, stopping the audio from being outputted. By identifying when these occurrences of the wakeword within outputted audio are going to happen, the voice activated electronic device may selectively determine when to ignore the wakeword, and furthermore, when not to ignore the wakeword.

Abstract: A system, method and communication device are disclosed for organizing and presenting a plurality of digital flyers. Using flyer stack information, which organizes the plurality of digital flyers into at least one flyer stack, the plurality of digital flyers are presented to allow for inter-flyer and intra-flyer navigation. Moreover, the flyer stack information may be used to allow the inter-flyer and intra-flyer content to be searched. This is achieved by providing a method and communication device that receives the flyer stack information from a server, and presents the flyer stack information in a flyer navigation interface.

Attachment summaries associated with the one or more attachments may be displayed within an attachment summary view of the email application interface.

Abstract: A speech-based system includes an audio device in a user premises and a network-based service that supports use of the audio device by multiple applications. The audio device may be directed to play audio content such as music, audio books, etc. The audio device may also be directed to interact with a user through speech. The network-based service monitors event messages received from the audio device to determine which of the multiple applications currently has speech focus. When receiving speech from a user, the service first offers the corresponding meaning to the application, if any, that currently has primary speech focus. If there is no application that currently has primary speech focus, or if the application having primary speech focus is not able to respond to the meaning, the service then offers the user meaning to the application that currently has secondary speech focus.

Abstract: Techniques are described for improved network analysis and management. In certain embodiments, multiple analysis techniques may be applied to network data collected or obtained otherwise for a network. Correlations between the results of the multiple analysis techniques may then be determined. One or more inferences identifying one or more conditions or events associated with the network may then be drawn based upon the correlations. An inference can identify a past or present condition or predict the occurrence of a future network-related condition or event. One or more actions to be executed may be determined based upon the one or more inferences. The actions may include corrective actions to correct an existing adverse condition or preemptive actions that are meant to reduce or mitigate an adverse impact of a future condition or event on the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide a mechanism to create and maintain web pages and other types of output pages. The system and methods use an author markup language (AML) to define output pages. Additionally, a Component Markup Language (CML) may be used to define components that may be referenced by the AML. The AML and CML may be translated to an intermediate format, which may then be further processed at runtime to combine dynamic data with the intermediate format to produce the output page.

Abstract: An interactive flyer system is disclosed. The system includes a flyer image tiler for creating a flyer image tile set, the set including multiple copies of a flyer image segmented into a plurality of flyer image tiles with each copy representing the flyer image at one of a plurality of zoom levels, wherein a copy of the multiple copies is configured to fit within a viewport having a resolution, and a flyer image tile store for storing the flyer image tile set. There is also disclosed a method for displaying the interactive digital flyer.
