  • Publication number: 20150370600
Abstract: A system and method for prioritized queues is provided. A plurality of queues are organized to enable long-running operations to be directed to a long running queue operation, while faster operations are directed to a non-long running operation queue. When an operation request is received, a determination is made whether it is a long-running operation, and, if so, the operation is placed in a long-running operation queue. When the processor core that is executing long-running operations is ready for the next operation, it removes an operation from the long-running operation queue and processes the operation.

  • Patent number: 9186665
Abstract: An apparatus and method for regenerating spent ion exchange resin and recovering regenerant fluid is described. A regeneration system has a regeneration vat, a regeneration solution tank, a regenerant recovery tank, a chemical dispenser, a solids separator, a pH adjuster and a pump. The regeneration vat holds the spent resin and is connected to the regeneration solution tank to allow transfer of regenerant solution into the regeneration vat. Spent regenerant fluid travels to the regenerant recovery tank, where it is treated with chemicals provided from the chemical dispenser. The solids separator receives the treated regenerant liquid and separates precipitate flocs from the treated regenerant liquid. The concentration of chloride ions in the separated regenerant solution can be adjusted by the pH adjuster to form fresh regenerant solution. The pump pumps the fresh regenerant solution to the regenerant solution tank to regenerate additional spent cation exchange resin.

  • Patent number: 9144258
Abstract: A realistically opening artificial flower has a slidable pusher basket having an upper end and a lower end and is moveable from a first position to a second position. The flower includes a means for moving the slidable pusher basket from the first position to the second position; the means is located generally adjacent the lower end of the slidable pusher basket. The flower also includes a simulated flower with a base that receives the upper end of the slidable pusher basket along with multiple rows of petals disposed on a plurality of vertically stacked supports. The slidable pusher basket is coupled with at least one of the plurality of vertically stacked supports via a petal attachment member. Incident to the slidable pusher basket moving from the first position to the second position, the multiple rows of petals transition from the generally closed position to the generally open position, and each row of petals has varying open and closed angles.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes, among other things, a device. The device includes a plurality of sensors, an output system, a processor coupled to the plurality of sensors and the output system, and a memory. • Patent number: 9116186
Abstract: Described herein is a method and apparatus for the detection of signals in an area of interest. Three sensor channels are provided for sensing radiated emissions in an area of interest, each channel having a sensor and a processor, the three channels sensing radiated emissions in the very low frequency band, the high/very high frequency band, and the ultra high frequency band respectively. The first and third sensor channels provide input signals to the processor in the second sensor channel so that accumulated signal data can be processed to produce an input signal for a comparator. The comparator compares the input signal with data stored in a database to indicate presence of equipment having known modes of operation.

  • Publication number: 20140141712
Abstract: An electromagnetic reflector includes an antenna that receives an incoming signal and that transmits an outgoing signal. A three-port device, such as a circulator, has a first port electromagnetically coupled to the antenna. An RF circuit has an input that is electromagnetically coupled to the second port of the three-port device and an output that is electromagnetically coupled to the third port of the three-port device. • Publication number: 20140125662
Abstract: A method for representing a moving object as it moves along a path in a three-dimensional coordinate system. A processor determines a direction of an animated motion of a three-dimensional object moving along a path from a starting location to a second location. The processor draws pairs of vectors from the starting location by performing a series of mathematical functions, where the tips of each pair of vectors identify two points of a three-dimensional mesh, and where the mathematical functions are functions of the starting location, of the location of a point on the object when the object is at the second location, and of the direction of motion of the object along the path. The processor further adjusts characteristics of the mesh and determines, as a function of the adjusted mesh, a characteristic of the animated object, such as its orientation in space, at the second location.
