Publication number: 20130219721Abstract: A safety razor adapted to deliver a non-solid shaving aid material during normal use includes a handle, a razor cartridge and a reservoir for the shaving aid material in fluid communication with an applicator of the razor cartridge. A linkage extends from the reservoir to the razor cartridge. Pivotal movement of the razor cartridge away from its at-rest position causes the linkage to move relative to both the razor cartridge and the reservoir and in particular away from the reservoir. A plug of the linkage is removed from a vent aperture of the reservoir providing pressure relief for any partial vacuum caused from dispensing a portion of the shaving aid material. In the at-rest position the plug seals the vent and helps alleviate unwanted drooling of the shaving aid material when the safety razor is not in use.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2012Publication date: August 29, 2013Applicant: Eveready Battery Company Inc.Inventors: John Coleman, Siddharth Gulati, David Noble, Andrew Pennella, David Schiff

Patent number: 8286392Abstract: An inhabitable space frame (100) can define and support inhabitable living space within, around and projecting from the exterior of the perimeter of the space frame (100). The space frame (100) includes a vector matrix of strut members (105) that defines a plurality of interconnected basic tetrahedral modules (110) and, optionally, a plurality of prime octahedral modules (115). At least a part of each prime octahedral module (115) in the plurality of prime octahedral modules (115) is adjacent to at least two of the basic tetrahedral modules (110). Use of one or more right triangular faces, or planes, within a repeating geometry of a vector matrix enables an interior of the space frame (100) to be inhabitable, with horizontal floors and vertical walls aligned with associated strut members (105).Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2009Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Inventors: David Noble, James Chuda

Patent number: 8176797Abstract: A system and method are provided for quantifying a degree of discontinuity of material flow from a meter roller. In an exemplary embodiment, flowable particulate material is fed into a meter roller. The meter roller is then rotated one revolution, and the output from the meter roller is collected and measured. Next, the meter roller is rotated one revolution in discrete increments, each increment having a substantially equal rotational angle. The output from the meter roller is then collected and measured for each increment. Finally, the measurement for each increment is compared to the measurement for the one revolution to determine a statistical parameter indicative of flow rate discontinuity.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2009Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: CNH Canada, Ltd.Inventors: Jim Henry, Joel Gervais, Devon Schollar, Scott David Noble, Ka Po Catherine Hui

Patent number: 7926836Abstract: An elastomeric spring suspension is described for supporting a longitudinally extending vehicle frame rail above first and second axles forming a tandem axle configuration. The suspension includes a frame hanger assembly mounted to the vehicle frame rail. The frame hanger assembly has two full spring modules, each of which includes two elastomeric shear springs, an elastomeric progressive spring rate load cushion having a pyramidal shape with a flattened top surface and a spring mount for mounting the springs. A saddle assembly is connected to the spring mount, and an equalizing beam is connected to the saddle assembly and further connected to the axles. The spring rate for the suspension increases almost linearly as a function of sprung load, resembling a pneumatic suspension. Accordingly, the suspension exhibits excellent ride quality, without sacrificing roll stability.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2008Date of Patent: April 19, 2011Assignee: Hendrickson USA, LLC.Inventors: Shawn David Noble, Ashley Thomas Dudding, Christopher Wayne Forrest, Michael Brannigan, John Wayne Stuart, Michael Patrick Robinson

Publication number: 20090158831Abstract: An in-cylinder pressure sensor obtains a high resolution pressure curve for each cylinder cycle allowing the various data to be derived for improved monitoring and control of operation of the engine. A more accurate measure of work done by the engine is obtained allowing more accurate estimation of the vehicle torque and hence real torque control. In addition, engine losses can be more accurately calculated and the estimates corrected yet further by obtaining an accurate top dead centre position for the engine cylinders.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2009Publication date: June 25, 2009Inventors: Richard Charles Elliot Cornwell, Edward Colin Winslett, Andrew David Noble, Brian Gorman Cooper, Anthony Truscott, David Greenwood, Nicola Dilieto
