  • Patent number: 8397764
Abstract: A system for protecting the end fittings of a fluid transport hose includes first and second protective caps for respectively engaging with first and second end fittings of the hose. Both the first and second protective caps include a disk that is oriented perpendicular to the hose axis when the cap is engaged with the respective end fitting. Importantly, the disk has a diameter DD that is greater than the diameter DH of the hose so the disk will extend radially outward from the hose to thereby protect the end fitting.

  • Publication number: 20120265647
Abstract: An integrated finding experience is a workflow configured to facilitate a search by a user for one or more items among many items (e.g., an inventory of items). An integrated finding experience machine may provide one or more user interfaces that support the workflow in presenting information differently as the user progresses through a search process (e.g., a finding experience) with respect to a database (e.g., storing information regarding one or more items). For example, the workflow may include various stages of a search process from defining a query, to refining the query, to visually scanning search results, to displaying details of one or more selected search results, to comparing selected search results to each other. Each stage may have a specialized user interface configured to facilitate one or more user activities pertinent to that stage.

  • Publication number: 20110233353
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting an object on the frame structure (chassis) of a vehicle includes a U-shaped top bracket and an L-shaped bottom bracket. To mount the apparatus onto the frame structure, the top bracket is first positioned and held against the frame structure. A tongue on the bottom bracket is then inserted through a slot in the top bracket, and a bolt on the bottom bracket is inserted through an aperture in the top bracket. A nut is then screwed onto the bolt, and tightened to hold the apparatus around the frame structure. Sizing inserts can be appropriately positioned between the apparatus and the frame structure, and the top bracket can include a mounting plate for supporting the object.

  • Publication number: 20100253073
Abstract: The invention is a safety lock that keeps the cam lock arms of a female cam lock hose fitting from accidentally opening. It is made of a resilient material and snaps in place over the cam arms from either side of the fitting and can be installed and removed with one gloved hand. It snaps in place to provide a tactile indication of proper placement. The safety lock has a low profile so that it can remain on the fitting when placed in hose tubes and trays. It also protects the cam arms split rings on the ends of the cam arms from damage. An aperture in the leg of the safety lock allows a tether or cable loop to be attached.

  • Patent number: 7707011
Abstract: A method is described for establishing load limits for pipe connections to a turbine casing including the steps of: identifying a plurality of the pipe connections as key pipe load connections; developing transfer functions to model deformation of the casing based on loads applied to the key pipe connections; establishing individual load limits for each of the key pipe connections in the group by optimizing solutions to the transfer functions, and establishing a cumulative load limit for the group of key pipe load connections by optimizing solutions to the transfer functions.

  • Patent number: 7681607
Abstract: The present invention is a pump control and distribution system consisting of a pump and reversing flow control valve with a single-handle to control flow direction and flow rate of a liquid. The system can be operated at a rate of 0 to 300 gallons per minute and the flow reversed or stopped with a single motion of the operating handle. The flow rate of the liquid can be precisely controlled in either direction, along with the liquid pressure. This allows the use of a constant speed pump turning in one direction and gives the operator the ability to control the product transfer regardless of viscosity or volume. A purge valve connected to the outlet of the pump is used to remove substantially all retained liquid in the system after transfer of liquid is complete. The system can be mounted to a vehicle for delivery of bulk liquids.

  • Patent number: 7677514
Abstract: The invention is an equipment support bracket that can be secured to a vehicle frame without drilling holes. The top bracket has a top tang that fits over the top web of the frame. A bottom bracket has a bottom tang that secures against the bottom web. Once installed on the frame, tensioning bolts tighten the top tang against the top web. In one embodiment, the equipment can be first attached to the support bracket and then the support bracket with equipment attached is positioned between the top bracket and the rail of the frame. In another embodiment, the equipment bracket can be attached to an I beam frame.
