  • Patent number: 8649081
Abstract: Photochromic-dichroic articles are provided, which include a substrate, a first photochromic-dichroic layer over the substrate, and a second photochromic-dichroic layer over the first photochromic-dichroic layer. The first photochromic-dichroic layer includes a first photochromic-dichroic compound that is laterally aligned within the first photochromic-dichroic layer, and which defines a first polarization axis of the first photochromic-dichroic layer. The second photochromic-dichroic layer includes a second photochromic-dichroic compound that is laterally aligned within the second photochromic-dichroic layer, and which defines a second polarization axis of the second photochromic-dichroic layer. The first polarization axis and the second polarization axis are oriented relative to each other at an angle of greater than 0° and less than or equal to 90°.

  • Publication number: 20130246951
Abstract: Various techniques and procedures related to filtering objects in a virtual application within a multi-tenant system are provided. One approach involves providing a first graphical user interface element enabling indication of a first filtering criterion and a second graphical user interface element enabling indication of a second filtering criterion within the virtual application being accessed over a network from a client device. After indication of the first filtering criterion and the second filtering criterion, a filtered set of objects is identified based on the first filtering criterion and the second filtering criterion. At least a portion of the filtered set of objects may then be presented within the virtual application on a client device.

  • Publication number: 20120330960
Abstract: Source values are mapped to new user-defined categories. The new user-defined categories are stored in a new user-defined field. In an embodiment, a user-selection of an existing field is received. Based on a data type of the existing field, a specific mapping interface is displayed. The interface guides the user through specification of the new field and categories, and identification of the source values to map to the new categories.

  • Patent number: 8295278
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods which create an infrastructure/transport Pseudowire (PW) a priori between two Provider Edge (PE) devices. Accordingly, other PWs can be mapped to this transport PW. In an exemplary application, the transport PW (which is a MS-PW by itself) can start and end between two Switching Provider Edge (S-PE) devices and span across multiple S-PEs in between. In another exemplary application, the transport PW terminates between two Terminating Provider Edge (T-PE) devices spanning across all S-PEs in between. In a further exemplary application, the transport PW can start at a S-PE or T-PE and terminate at a T-PE or S-PE, respectively. The placement of the endpoints of the transport PW (on two PEs) determines the number of intervening S-PEs that benefit from this application.

  • Publication number: 20100223100
Abstract: Methods and systems for sales networking are provided. A user of a database system can be helped to identify relevant business opportunities from those similar to a selected opportunity. For example, a salesperson can search for similar deals to the one the person is working, contact people who have worked similar deals and ask for their advice, and bookmark those deals to refer back to them as they work the deal. The similar opportunities can be found by matching properties (such as field and related records) of an opportunity record that corresponds to the opportunity of interest.

  • Publication number: 20100042399
Abstract: The method for a digital imaging device to recognize text on the captured image or video and translate the text to operator's desired language as an overlay to the original image in real-time or replay mode. The image or video is processed in real-time cross referencing translation data and text recognition algorithms allowing the operator to view translated text from the device's monitor and/or electronic viewfinder. Images and video that are stored in media can be replayed with or without the translated text since the translation data is saved as a discrete layer to the image, thus the operator can choose alternate translations. The device screen or viewfinder can have operator defined zones within the field of view of the imaging device where text recognizable by the imaging device will execute translation methods applicable to the zone.

  • Patent number: 7646270
Abstract: A spring assembly is provided for a yoke assembly of an electrical switching apparatus including a housing, separable contacts enclosed by the housing, and an operating mechanism structured to open and close the separable contacts. The operating mechanism includes a pole shaft. The yoke assembly is coupled to the pole shaft and is movable among first and second positions corresponding to the separable contacts being closed and open, respectively. The spring assembly includes a number of first springs having a first spring rate and being coupled to the yoke assembly, and a number of second springs having a second spring rate and being coupled to the yoke assembly. The second spring rate is different than the first spring rate. The number of first springs and the number of second springs bias the yoke assembly toward the second position.

  • Patent number: 7294804
Abstract: Within a closing assembly that utilizes a ram assembly having a spring driven ram body, an energy dissipating spring seat assembly is provided. The ram body is mounted on a guide assembly having at least one pin. The guide assembly also includes a base plate and a stop plate. A ram assembly spring is disposed between the ram body and the base plate and is structured to bias the ram body toward the stop plate. The spring seat assembly includes a spring seat bracket and a spring seat. The spring seat is, preferably, a generally flat, plate-like leaf spring that is disposed between the ram assembly springs and the base plate of the ram body. The spring seat is sufficiently rigid so as to not deflect fully under the force created by the compressed ram assembly springs, but not so rigid as to resist deflecting under the force created when the ram body impacts the stop plate.
