  • Patent number: 6924446
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a housing and an operating mechanism having a cross bar supported by a first housing surface and moving in an arcuate path between open/tripped and closed positions, a pivotally mounted cradle including a latch, and pivotally mounted primary and secondary latches. The primary latch includes a pivot, an opening and a free end. The cradle latch rests within the opening when the contacts are not tripped open. The secondary latch includes a pivot and a surface. The latches are between a second housing surface and the cross bar in a first position. The cross bar is offset from the latches in a second position. The secondary latch surface and pivot are between the second housing surface and the primary latch pivot. • Publication number: 20050071738
Abstract: This invention is directed to a system and method for processing electronic documents. The system and method involve using a template sheet onto which an associated user writes instructions for processing of the electronic document. Such a system and method for processing electronic documents is easier, faster, and more user-friendly. The system and method allows users to conveniently and quickly set up processing instructions by eliminating or minimizing graphical user interfaces or machine interfaces. Such a system and method is helpful to regular users who may not be technologically savvy as it only involves minimal information from the user to process the documents.

  • Patent number: 6594736
Abstract: A method and apparatus including a plurality of data processing units. A plurality of memory banks having a shared address space are coupled to the processors by a crossbar coupling to enable reading and writing data between the processors and memory banks. A unidirectional network couples the memory banks and the processors to enable cache coherency messages to be transmitted from the memory to the processors. A plurality of semaphore registers are implemented within the shared address space of the memory banks wherein the semaphore registers are accessible by the processors through the crossbar coupling.

  • Publication number: 20030065786
Abstract: There is provided a method and system for initiating an information transmission, such as with faxing, e-mail, data streaming, or the like from a personal computer on a network having at least one networked multifunction machine. The method comprises the steps of invoking a fax command from a software program on a personal computer and then viewing a list of machines residing on the network which contain local address book information. Upon viewing the list, a machine is selected from the list and a search is conducted through the personal computer for a local copy of the selected machine's address book information. If no local copy exists, a local copy of the selected machine's address book information is created on the personal computer. The local copy of the selected machine's address book is then used to retrieve address book information for selecting a recipient of an information transmission.

  • Patent number: 6356983
Abstract: A cache coherency directory for a shared memory multiprocessor computer system. A data structure is associated with each cacheable memory location, the data structure comprising locations for storing state values indicating an exclusive state, a shared state, an uncached state, a busy state, a busy uncached state, a locked state, and a pending state. The busy state and pending state cooperate to reserve a cache line for future use by a processor while the cache line is currently being used by one or more other processors.

  • Patent number: 6340186
Abstract: Injection molded bumpers for off-road recreational and utility vehicles such as ATV's, snowmobiles and the like. In one embodiment, the invention provides an injection molded bumper comprising a fiber-filled plastic resin body. Optionally, the fiber-filled plastic resin may have fibers of a length of at least about ¼ inch. The body has an overall thickness substantially less than its width and length, and includes a generally vertically oriented front surface having upper and lower peripheral edges. At least a portion of the upper peripheral edge and at least a portion of the lower peripheral edge each has a flange extending generally horizontally away from the front surface. The flanges have thicknesses substantially less than the lengths they extend from the front surface and thereby define generally horizontally extending reinforcing ribs. Additional reinforcing ribs may also be provided intermediate the flanges.

  • Patent number: 6144271
Abstract: This concerns a molded case circuit breaker having separable main contacts and an operating mechanism utilized to cause the separable main contacts to open and close. A trip unit is provided to actuate the operating mechanism in desirable circumstances. The trip unit is removable. In this case the trip unit is insertable into a trip unit region in the case of the circuit breaker from the top or end thereof. The trip unit is then joined to an internal electrical conductor by way of a bolt and an internally fixed nut. The bolt can be driven into the nut through the trip unit conductor and the internal conductor from a position external to the circuit breaker case. The trip unit can be inserted into the trip unit conductor from a point above the circuit breaker case or vise versa. The trip unit has a securement nut built into its case.
