  • Publication number: 20220375614
Abstract: A next-best-action system includes real-time operation and off-line training and processes. During off-line training databases of medical conditions and associated diagnostic factors, tests and treatments are used to create models used for later natural language processing of input electronic text. Diagnostic factors are ranked according to the probability that they indicate conditions and are stored in a matrix. Treatments corresponding to conditions are also stored in a matrix. During real-time operation electronic text is received from patient history of an EHR system, from a transcribed conversation between a physician and a patient, or from input that the physician makes in the EHR system or in an overlaid diagnostic user interface. The electronic text is processed by an NLP pipeline that derives clinical diagnostic factors and test results for the patient.

  • Publication number: 20220296264
Abstract: Surgical instruments and assemblies for sealing and cutting tissue monitor jaw angle and/or jaw clamping force to provide feedback to an operator of the surgical instrument indicative of whether the tissue is suitable clamped for sealing and/or cutting. A surgical instrument or assembly includes a jaw operable to clamp tissue, a sealing mechanism, a cutting mechanism, an actuation monitoring assembly, and a feedback assembly. The actuation monitoring assembly monitors jaw angle and/or clamping force. The feedback assembly outputs feedback to the operator, based on the jaw angle and/or clamping force, as to whether the current clamping angle and/or jaw angle is suitable for sealing and/or clamping tissue.

  • Patent number: 11443613
Abstract: A cloud-based real-time crime center with dispatch directed digital media payloads configured to support both emergency dispatchers and emergency responders responding to an incident requiring assistance. The new dispatch system is “cloud-based” in that it provides a central hub or repository for gathering live video streams and data streams that are processed to fuse them together to provide a map-based interface for the dispatcher to access via a desktop or other computing station at a central agency location and for the responders in the field to access via vehicle-mounted or portable client devices. The dispatch system processes the video and data streams to generate a dispatch directed payload that includes data and video relevant to the identified incident and that can be readily communicated (due to its reduced or controlled size) to field responders to make their response more effective and to increase both the safety of the responders and those involved in the incident.

  • Patent number: 11425063
Abstract: One or more systems and/or techniques for generating a content item from content within a content area are described herein. A first boundary and a second boundary may be defined for a content area based upon a first user input and a second user input, such as swipe gestures. A content item may be generated based upon content within the content area. In an example, a beginning boundary designator may be displayed for the first boundary and an ending boundary designator may be displayed for the second boundary in response to one or more swipe gestures of a user interface. In an example, the content item may be stitched to a second content item to create a stitched content item.

  • Publication number: 20220260853
Abstract: A lens is provided that has an improved optical configuration in order to provide enhanced off-axis optical performance by tending to reduce, eliminate, or minimize first order optical distortion. Embodiments may be used in non-corrective or corrective unitary or dual lens eyewear, for example in combination with a frame to support the lens in a path of a straight ahead line of sight forming a center axis of an eye of a typical wearer. The lens may comprise a lens body. The lens body may comprise a surface having a spheric, toric, cylindrical or freeform geometry and another surface having a freeform geometry. A lens thickness is defined between the surfaces. A prismatic power of the lens is improved, particularly for off-axis viewing angles.

  • Patent number: 11403429
Abstract: Controlling functionality of a core on a per-instance basis can include implementing, within an accelerator, an instance of a core by configuring the accelerator using configuration data, receiving, within the instance of the core, encrypted authorization data for the instance of the core, generating, using control circuitry of the instance of the core, decrypted authorization data for the instance of the core by decrypting the encrypted authorization data using a core instance identifier stored in a first control register of the instance of the core, and writing the decrypted authorization data to a second control register in the instance of the core, wherein the instance of the core enables core functionality therein based on the decrypted authorization data in the second control register.

  • Patent number: 11366961
Abstract: Methods and systems for publishing text files containing mathematical expressions to a web-ready file are disclosed. The web-ready file may be used for generating a web application, creating an offline file, etc. Template documents are received as text files having a template structure comprising a plurality of identifier fields and content fields, each content field associated with a respective identifier field, and data in at least one content field comprises a mathematical expression. The mathematical expression is converted to a first web language format within the template document. The template document is exported to a second web language format. The web-ready file is generated from the exported file by assembling contents of the exported file in accordance with the plurality of content fields and associated respective identifier fields defined in the template document.
