  • Publication number: 20180066693
Abstract: Applicant provides a number of embodiments of a sealant, the sealant comprising a polyurethane gel which, in some embodiments, has a thickness of 12 mil or less (uncompressed). Uses of the sealant are shown, including uses between aircraft parts under compression. Sometimes the sealant may have a very thin skeleton. Sometimes the sealant is in the form of a die cut gasket, a tape or a tacky gel sprayable. Methods for making the sealant are also disclosed. The sealants may be used pre-cured or may be sprayed on to the aircraft parts and form in place.

  • Patent number: 9803674
Abstract: A thin, cured gel gasket is disclosed, including methods of making the thin gel gasket and the use of the thin gel gasket in an aircraft joint. In one embodiment, the thin gel gasket has no skeleton or other structure and is comprised of only a cured polyurethane gel and has a thickness of less than about 12 mill. It is manufactured using a release film that is adapted in a number of ways to make release from the gel prior to use easier. In one method of making and using the thin gel gasket. it is applied to a joint which is subject to compression, in one embodiment, a lap joint of an aircraft fuselage.

  • Publication number: 20170305242
Abstract: A sensor support structure for a vehicle includes a roof panel supported by bodyside pillars and a support structure. The support structure is attached to the roof via a mounting ring extending in a substantially rectangular shape around a portion of the roof panel. The mounting ring defines two sections of the support structure on the roof. The support structure further includes a cartridge defined within the sections of the mounting ring. The cartridge is configured to provide attachment of a plurality of sensors to the roof panel and is supported by the mounting ring such that a weight of the support structure, including the sensors, is distributed to the bodyside pillars.

  • Patent number: 9671023
Abstract: A spacer and gasket assembly is shown for receipt between a static structure having a surface and fastener holes therethrough and a removable structure having a surface and fastener holes. The static structure and removable structure are engaged through a multiplicity of fasteners having a shaft diameter. The fasteners are adapted to apply a compression on the gasket between the static structure and the removable structure. The static structure and the removable structure have opposed, typically flat, facing surfaces. The spacer and gasket assembly comprising a substantially non-compressible spacer adapted for receipt between the static structure and the removable structure having a spacer thickness. A gasket has a sticky, deformable, flowable, elastomeric body and a skeleton having a skeleton thickness, the skeleton substantially integral with the body. The gasket has an uncompressed gasket thickness.

  • Patent number: 9450784
Abstract: A gateway device performs authentication with an interconnect system that coordinates communication of data among a plurality of personal clouds. The gateway device is part of a first personal cloud that includes electronic devices. Data is communicated between the first personal cloud and at least a second personal cloud based on information in the interconnect system, wherein the communication is performed according to at least one rule provided at the gateway device, wherein the at least one rule includes at least one criterion relating to data to be shared among the plurality of personal clouds.

  • Patent number: 9396516
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying ordinate-abscissa value pairs with discrete display points in the abscissa and ordinate directions determines an interpolated ordinate value at half the abscissa spacing between the respective abscissa value and the respective abscissa value of the display points to the left and right. A maximum ordinate value and a minimum ordinate value are then determined from the ordinate value of the respective ordinate-abscissa value pair, and the respectively interpolated ordinate values on the left and right. A random or pseudo-random ordinate value is then selected between the determined maximum and minimum ordinate values for every abscissa value of the display points. The ordinate resolution of the display points is thus reduced by comparison with the ordinate resolution of the ordinate-abscissa value pairs.

  • Patent number: 9221529
Abstract: A life jacket with a lock including a life jacket having at least one belt in combination with a releasable buckle, the releasable buckle having a female member and a male member. Each of the female member and the male member has a top side and a bottom side. An opening is continuously disposed through the male member from the top side to the bottom side. An aperture is continuously disposed through the female member from the top side to the bottom side. The opening and the aperture are colinearly disposed when the female member is securely engaged with the male member. A U-lock slidingly engages the opening in combination with the aperture when the female member is securely engaged with the male member.

  • Publication number: 20150221815
Abstract: A solid state light emitting device includes a solid state light emitter and a lumiphoric material that are selected for use with one another to provide light emissions with improved (i.e., reduced) thermal droop A solid state emitter having a short peak emission wavelength (e.g., in a visible range at or below 440 nm) seemingly less than optimal at room temperature for use with a particular lumiphor can trigger more efficient stimulation of lumiphor emissions at high temperatures. Enhanced epitaxial structures also inhibit decrease of radiant flux by LEDs at elevated temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20150157671
Abstract: A nutritional product composition for the heart to promote optimal heart function, support normal heart muscle contractions, contribute to the protection of cells against oxidative stress, support macronutrient metabolism and create a synergistic blend of sustenance for the heart on a cellular level. The nutritional product composition for the heart includes a synergistic blend of nutrients and a silica gel that increases the rate of metabolism of cells to increase the rate of absorption of the nutrients and increase levels of magnesium. The synergistic blend of nutrients includes thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, calcium, magnesium and zinc. The silica gel increases an absorption rate of the synergistic blend.
