  • Publication number: 20140198949
Abstract: A display system that includes a projector light bulb. The system includes a light fixture with a conventional light bulb socket. A projector light bulb is provided with a socket adapter for mating electrically with the light bulb socket. A projector such as a pico projector is fit into the socket adapter or to mate with this adapter to be powered by the light bulb socket via the adapter. In lamp-type implementations, the projector is used to project onto a lamp shade-shaped rear projection screen or through a translucent shade and also upon surfaces of the ceiling or objects above the projector light bulb. A light conditioning or directing assembly may be provided that directs a portion of the projected light onto the projection screen (or shade) and another portion up onto the ceiling so as to concurrently focus on two or more surfaces at two or more focal distances.

  • Publication number: 20140034800
Abstract: A cradle for holding an ultrasound probe used to image a patient prior to and during medical procedures includes a base for securing to a stepper-stabilizer, roller-bearings supported on the base, and a probe-holder that rotates on the otter-bearings in a smooth angular rotation on a horizontal axis relative to the base. The probe-holder includes a front yoke and a rear yoke, and a yoke retainer supporting the front yoke. A pivot side rail and a lock side rail span rigidly between the front yoke and the rear yoke. A locking knob that is captured to the lock side rail to prevent the locking knob from detaching. A latch hinged to the pivot side rail is engaged by the locking knob for securement over the probe. A detent insures precise 90-degree alignment of the yoke retainer with respect to the base. The rollers rotatably support the yoke retainer and the rear yoke, and free rotation of the front yoke is controlled by the yoke retainer to allow for correction of misalignment.

  • Publication number: 20130297490
Abstract: Methods and systems for routing payment transactions electronically for multinational vendors in a transnational business environment in which an integrated payments platform processor is used in receiving payment transactions related to a plurality of different countries by a financial institution for online purchases. Each payment transaction is interrogated, using the integrated payments platform processor, to identify the payment transaction as an internal type of transaction or an external type of transaction and a country to which the payment transaction relates. Internal types of transactions are routed to an internal transaction processing path and external types of transactions to an external processing path, and the financial institution may arrange settlement of each payment transaction likewise using the processor.

  • Publication number: 20100169408
Abstract: A Java enterprise resource management (JERM) system and methods that implement a work chain are provided that allow both timing metrics and call metrics to be monitored and gathered in real-time, and which can cause appropriate actions to be taken in real-time. The JERM system provides a level of granularity with respect to the monitoring of methods triggered during a transaction that is equivalent to or better than that which is currently provided in the aforementioned known call-analysis resource management systems. In addition, the JERM system also provides information associated with the timing of hops that occur between servers, and between and within applications, during a transaction. Because all of this information is obtained in real-time, the JERM system is able to respond in real-time to cause resources to be scaled in or scaled out in a way that provides improved efficiency and productivity, and that enables the enterprise to quickly recover from resource failures.

  • Publication number: 20100162244
Abstract: A computerized work chain and methods are provided. The work chain comprises at least one processing device configured to perform the computerized work chain M work queues implemented in the one or more processing devices, and a work queue handler implemented in the one or more processing devices, where M is a positive integer that is greater than or equal to one. Each work queue comprises a queue monitor, an exception monitor, a pool of worker threads, a logger, and a data queue. The work queue handler forms the work chain by linking the M work queues together such that respective outputs of a first one of the work queues through an Mnth?1 one of the work queues are linked to respective inputs of a second one of the work queues through an Mnth one of the work queues, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6192733
Abstract: A press (10) for operating a tooling unit in the performance of a manufacturing operation, such as crimping terminals onto a conductor. The press is adapted for attachment to the frame of a host machine (12), such as a lead maker, and for receiving a tooling unit, such as a terminal applicator (52). The press (10) includes a frame (13), a carriage (20) arranged for reciprocating motion with respect to the frame (13) and a ram (110) in sliding engagement with and carried by the carriage (20). A relatively low powered actuator (22) causes the ram (100) to move through a first incremental amount of movement during the first portion of the crimp cycle and a second, more powerful, actuator (80) causes the carriage (20) and ream (110) assembly to move through a second incremental amount of movement to complete the crimp cycle.

  • Patent number: 5850685
Abstract: A machine (10) for receiving and operating a terminal applicator (12) in the attaching of an electrical terminal (14) to a conductor includes a magnetic power unit (28) having a fixed electromagnet (30) attached to the frame (20) and a movable electromagnet (32) coupled to the terminal applicator (12). The machine includes a cycling mechanism (86) for manually moving the movable electromagnet (32) through the power and return strokes of the terminal applicator (12). The cycling mechanism (86) includes a lead screw (88) having a nut (102) in threaded engagement therewith that moves vertically when the lead screw is rotated. A latch (110) attached to the nut (102) pivots into an opening (112) in the periphery (114) of the movable electromagnet (32) when the lead screw is rotated in one direction (130). As the lead screw (88) is rotated further the latch (110) carries the movable electromagnet (32) downwardly through its power stroke.
