  • Patent number: 10911160
Abstract: A wireless sensor includes a radio frequency (RF) front end, a sensing element, and a processing module. The RF front end receives a request for sensed data from a sensing computing device and sends a coded digital value to the sensing computing device via the RF signal. The sensing element senses an environmental condition of an item. The processing module determines an effect on an operational parameter of an RF front end of the wireless sensor as a result of the sensing element sensing the environmental condition and while receiving the RF signal. The processing module also adjusts tuning of the RF front end to mitigate the effect on the operational parameter and equates an amount of adjusting of the tuning of the RF front end to a coded digital value.

  • Patent number: 10884837
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for differentiating normal operation of an application program from error conditions to predict, diagnose, and recover from application failures. Access to resources by the application program is monitored, and resource access events are logged. Resource access patterns are established from the logged resource access events utilizing computer pattern recognition techniques. If subsequent access to resources by the application program deviates from the established patterns, then a user and/or administrator of the application program is notified of a potential error condition based on the detected deviation. In addition, sequences of resource access events that deviate from the established resources access patterns are correlated with an error condition based on a temporal proximity to the time of occurrence of the error to provide diagnostic information regarding the error.

  • Patent number: 10880515
Abstract: An audio and video reproduction apparatus that comprises a memory, a display screen, and circuitry. The memory stores a sequence of image frames of multi-media content and closed caption (CC) information associated with the multi-media content. The circuitry detects a first position of a first object in an image frame, of the sequence of image frames, to be displayed on the display screen. The circuitry further controls, based on a user-input, the display screen to display the image frame in a first display portion of the display screen and display a first portion of the CC information at a second position in a second display portion of the display screen. The first portion of the CC information is displayed at the second position in the second display portion, based on the detected first position of the first object in the image frame.

  • Publication number: 20200372281
Abstract: Medical image data is analysed to produce a biomarker. The data is filtered with a plurality of band-pass filters each having a different bandwidth. A texture parameter is then determined from the filtered data from each filter and the biomarker is determined as at a ratio of the texture parameters. When the biomarker is obtained from a CT image of a liver, it can be predictive of poor survival, disease extent and liver physiology of a patient following resection of colorectal cancer. When obtained from a mammographic image, the biomarker can be indicative of cancer invasion and receptor status within mammographic abnormalities. When obtained from a CT image of a lung nodule, the biomarker can be predictive of tumour stage (or grading) and tumour metabolism of a patient with non-small cell lung carcinoma (lung cancer).

  • Patent number: 10848533
Abstract: The system and method of the present disclosure relates to a remotely configurable wireless broadcast device connected to a network. The device includes a network connected computer and a proxy that interfaces with one or more non-network connected broadcast devices. The wireless broadcast device monitors the non-network connected broadcast devices and periodically reports the status for each of the devices. A server, remotely located from the configurable wireless broadcast device, receives and processes the status reports. The status reports may also be monitored by a user via a common user interface connected to the server. After processing the status reports, the server sends configuration data, including updated or modified information, back to the wireless broadcast device instructing the device to configure the non-network connected devices.

  • Patent number: 10824831
Abstract: A method includes sending, by a reader, a radio frequency (RF) signal to a wireless sensor that includes an antenna having a tail section and a head section. The tail section is for placement in an RF limited area for sensing moisture in a first location of a vehicle under test and wherein the head section is for placement in a non-RF limited area. The method further includes receiving, by the reader, an RF response to the RF signal from the wireless sensor. The first RF response includes an indication of adjustment of one or more RF characteristics of the wireless sensor, which corresponds to a variance of the one or more RF characteristics from a desired value, which, in turn, corresponds to a level of moisture at the first location. The method further includes outputting, by the reader, a message regarding the level of moisture at the first location.
