  • Patent number: 11762703
Abstract: An on-demand code execution environment present in points of presence (POPs) and in regions serviced by the POPs is provided herein. For example, a POP may receive a request to execute a task associated with user-defined code. If the POP determines that the computing resources necessary to execute a received task are not available or that the POP should not execute the received task for another reason (e.g., the task is not commonly received and the computing resources needed to execute the task are therefore best allocated for other requests), the POP can forward the task to a region that the POP services for execution by an on-demand code execution environment present in the region. The on-demand code execution environment present in the region can execute the task and forward the results of the execution to the POP for distribution back to a user device that requested the task execution.

  • Publication number: 20230289348
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for identifying a co-applicant based on proximity to an applicant. In an embodiment, a processor determines a location of the applicant, and identifies a plurality of potential co-applicants that are collocated with the location of the applicant. For each respective potential co-applicant of the plurality of potential co-applicants, the processor determines whether a respective edge exists on a graph that connects the applicant with the respective potential co-applicant, and, responsive to determining that the respective edge exists, identifies the respective potential co-applicant as a candidate co-applicant. The processor generates for display, on a device of the applicant, a selectable option that, when selected, indicates that the applicant would like to use the candidate co-applicant as a co-applicant for an application. Responsive to detecting a selection of the selectable option, the processor activates the application at a device of the candidate co-applicant.

  • Publication number: 20230262596
Abstract: Systems and techniques herein provide for determining the transmission power for a mobile device. In particular, techniques herein automatically set the transmission power of a radio so as to minimize the detectability of the transmitter (that is, by minimizing the radio signature of the communication), and consequently to also minimize the necessary transmission power. In addition, the reduction in transmission power prolongs the life of the battery, or similarly, facilitates using smaller and lighter batteries. In one embodiment, satellite communication in the presence of an adversary comprises evaluating multiple communication satellites in order to select the specific satellite that provides a communication path with minimal exposure of the communications to the adversary. The transmission power of the mobile device may then be set to ensure proper communication to the specific satellite while minimizing the power received by the adversary (or a potential adversary).

  • Publication number: 20230261691
Abstract: According to one or more of the embodiments herein, systems and techniques are provided for concealed spread symbol communication. In particular, a system in accordance with the techniques herein relates to concealing communication (a reduced risk of being detected), particularly messages over satellites communication channels. The techniques herein provide additional message concealment by using a randomly variable sequence of spreading chips. The techniques also ensure that the randomized chip sequences used by the user equipment and by the ground station are synchronized.

  • Patent number: 11727171
Abstract: In some embodiments, techniques for creating a fabricable segmented design for a physical device are provided. A computing system receives a design specification. The computing system generates a proposed segmented design based on the design specification. The computing system determines one or more fabricable segmented designs based on the proposed segmented design. The computing system determines an overall fabrication loss value based on the one or more fabricable segmented designs. The computing system backpropagates a gradient of the overall fabrication loss value to create an updated design specification.

  • Patent number: 11725419
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed involving a door blocking apparatus to reduce a likelihood of, and possibly prevent, opening of a door by unauthorized personnel. The apparatus may be networked in a security system and may be connectable to an online security platform. In a particular embodiment, an embodiment of the invention may include a security system involving a plurality of door locations having a plurality of networked door blocking apparatus. Each door blocking apparatus may include a door blocking mechanism operable by a user on a safety side of a door, such as having the user rotate an apparatus handle that rotates the door blocking mechanism between a non-blocking position and a blocking position. In the non-blocking position, the door blocking apparatus does not block the door from opening and closing. In the blocking position, the door blocking apparatus blocks the door from opening and from closing completely.

  • Patent number: 11719676
Abstract: A system, method and a monitoring device for monitoring air quality of a closed space are disclosed. A plurality of ducts is coupled with the closed space and the plurality of monitoring devices monitors a quality of air inside the plurality of ducts. Each of the plurality of monitoring devices stores a location of placement of each of a monitoring device present inside the closed space, learns a level of carbon dioxide present inside the closed space over a period of time and estimate a number of occupants present inside the closed space based on the level of carbon dioxide present inside the closed space using a machine learning model. Further, the plurality of monitoring devices transmits the monitored quality of air inside the closed space along with the location of the placement of each of the monitoring device and the identified number of occupants to a cloud server.

  • Publication number: 20230245160
Abstract: The following relates generally to determining an optimal rewards program (e.g., of a credit card or debit card), and purchasing one or more items via the optimal rewards program. In some embodiments, a cardholder initiates a first user-initiated interaction between a bank card and a bank card machine, which generates a first purchase authorization request. One or more processors of a first bank then determine an optimal rewards program for the purchase, and then decline the first purchase authorization request. The cardholder may then initiate a second user-initiated interaction between the bank card and the bank card machine, which generates a second purchase authorization request. One or more processors of a second bank (e.g., a bank of the rewards program) may then authorize the second purchase authorization request. Alternatively, some embodiments complete a purchase according to a determined optimal rewards program with only one user-initiated interaction.

  • Publication number: 20230244775
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to determining risk associated with automated authentication decisions for a multi-factor authentication scheme. In disclosed embodiments, a server system sends requests corresponding to factors in a current multi-factor authentication procedure to a mobile device. The system receives, from the mobile device, automatically generated responses for the factors, where the responses are automatically generated at the mobile device using a machine learning model based on a current set of parameters for the current procedure and a previous set of parameters for a prior procedure. Based on a current state of the mobile device received with the automatically generated responses and prior states of the mobile device stored at the server computer system, the system determines a risk score for the automatically generated responses.

  • Patent number: 11701486
Abstract: An interface for positive pressure respiratory therapy includes a mask assembly having a mask seal and a mask shell. The mask assembly is positioned lower than and exposes a bridge of the user's nose. The mask seal includes first and second portions on respective first and second sides of a nasal region that contact opposing sides of the user's nose. The first and second portions each include supports that help maintain a shape of the mask seal. A pair of covers can be supported relative to the mask assembly and adjacent a respective one of the first and second portions of the mask seal. The covers limit expansion of the first and second portions of the mask seal in response to pressurized air within the mask seal. The supports of the first and second portions can transfer load from the mask seal to the covers.
