  • Publication number: 20230332814
Abstract: A method for increasing working gas flow rate through gas bearings of a free piston, gamma configured Stirling heat pump to avoid failure of the gas bearings while maintaining thermal cooling power. The Stirling heat pump lifts heat from a storage chamber and has pistons that are driven in reciprocation at an operating frequency by linear electric motors. A temperature control maintains a steady state storage chamber temperature by sensing storage chamber temperature and modulating piston amplitude. The invention comprises (a) driving the pistons with linear electric motors that are driven by a variable frequency, AC power source; (b) sensing the pistons' amplitude of reciprocation; and (c) if the sensed piston amplitude is less than a selected piston activation amplitude, increasing the frequency of the AC power source to increase the Stirling heat pump's operating frequency. That decreases thermal cooling power which causes the temperature control to increase piston amplitude.

  • Publication number: 20230330940
Abstract: Described herein are electrochemical-additive manufacturing methods and systems using such methods. A method comprises depositing a material onto a deposition electrode by flowing a current between that deposition electrode and each of multiple individually-addressable electrodes, forming an electrode array. These currents are independently controlled based on a target map and using deposition control circuits, each coupled to one individually-addressable electrode. The target map is generated by a system controller based on various characteristics of the system (e.g., the performance of each deposition control circuit and/or individually-addressable electrode, electrolyte composition) and the desired characteristics of the deposited material (e.g., deposition location, uniformity, morphology). Furthermore, when the deposition electrode and the electrode array move relative to each other, the system controller dynamically updates the target map based on their relative positions.

  • Publication number: 20230336263
Abstract: A scientific system and methods are disclosed for optimizing television (e.g., “CTV” and “OTT”) advertising and related expenditure to maximize efficiency and return on investment (“ROI’) for advertisers. The scientific system comprises an initial-feedback engine that develops and refines creatives or outcomes by creating and using an artificial intelligence (“AI”) engine that creates an initial feedback loop from social media platforms and subsequently uses an intelligent advertisement-selection engine that takes the highest performing advertising on the social media platforms and directs or imports them for connected television or over-the-top advertising. The system includes a performance engine that optimizes performance of the connected television and over-the-top advertising and then moves the winning combination of a creative or outcome resulting from the application inventory, the audience segment, the part of day, the frequency or the like to linear television purchase actions.
