  • Publication number: 20230004958
Abstract: A system for managing and using digital financial assets, such as cryptocurrency uses multiple independent devices that mutually cooperate to control cryptocurrency assets in a secure manner. Each of these devices may store a unique private key associated with the cryptocurrency assets, which may be configured such that a certain minimum number of these private keys are required to transfer the cryptocurrency assets. The use of multiple private keys spread across multiple distinct devices may reduce the likelihood of loss stemming from a hardware failure or reduce the likelihood of an attacker successfully gaining access to the cryptocurrency assets. In addition, selection of the devices to be used for storing these private keys, as well as how many private keys are required to authorize a transaction, may be tailored to balance a user's preferences for reliability of access versus security and for third-party custody versus self-custody.

Abstract: Composite airfoils and methods for forming composite airfoils are provided. For example, a composite airfoil of a gas turbine engine comprises opposite pressure and suction sides extending radially along a span from a root to a tip, which define opposite radial extremities of the airfoil. The composite airfoil further comprises a body section and a tip section, which includes the tip, that each extend radially along the span. The composite airfoil is formed from a composite material comprising fibers disposed in a matrix material. The tip section has a tip fiber volume, and the body section has a body fiber volume that is greater than the tip fiber volume. Another composite airfoil comprises a tip cap applied over the tip that tapers from a first end to a second end such that each of the pressure and suction side walls of the tip cap narrows from a first thickness to a second thickness.

  • Publication number: 20230004262
Abstract: Method of generating contextual sending menu starts with processor causing first client device to display first and second portion of display screen in inactivated position. Processor receives selection from first user of first client device of chat selectable item in application interface. Chat selectable item is associated with communication interface of messaging system. In response to receiving the selection, processor generates media content item based on context of first client device and causes first portion and second portion of display screen to be displayed in an activated position by causing first portion to contract, and causing second portion to expand and to comprise a preview of media content item and selectable item associated with second user. Processor then receives from the first user selection of the selectable item associated with the second user, and transmits media content item to second client device. Other embodiments are also disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20230005462
Abstract: User interface techniques provide user vocalists with mechanisms for seeding subsequent performances by other users (e.g., joiners). A seed may be a full-length seed spanning much or all of a pre-existing audio (or audiovisual) work and mixing, to seed further contributions of one or more joiners, a user's captured media content for at least some portions of the audio (or audiovisual) work. A short seed may span less than all (and in some cases, much less than all) of the audio (or audiovisual) work. For example, a verse, chorus, refrain, hook or other limited “chunk” of an audio (or audiovisual) work may constitute a seed. A seeding user's call invites other users to join the full-length or short-form seed by singing along, singing a particular vocal part or musical section, singing harmony or other duet part, rapping, talking, clapping, recording video, adding a video clip from camera roll, etc.

  • Publication number: 20230005675
Abstract: The invention concerns a double-motion circuit breaker comprising primary and secondary movable contacts slidingly mounted within primary and secondary holders, wherein the primary movable contact comprises a tulip and a contact cylinder attached thereto, and the secondary movable contact comprises a pin for engaging the tulip but no counter-contact for engaging the contact cylinder. The circuit breaker also has a non-linear linkage mechanism with a pin and slot mechanism, and a fixed dielectric shield provided on the secondary holder. During disconnection, the linkage mechanism is preferably arranged to move the pin more than the tulip, proportionally to their maximum stroke, so as to quickly bring the pin tip within the fixed dielectric shield, whereafter the tulip moves more than the pin. This circuit breaker is cheaper, lighter and can be disconnected more quickly.

  • Publication number: 20230006875
Abstract: In current practice, faulted messages are typically discarded and a retransmission is requested. Forward error-correction codes (FEC) in 5G and 6G are bulky, resource-expensive, and often unable to resolve the problem. Disclosed are systems and methods for determining which specific message elements are faulted, so that just the faulted portion can be retransmitted, instead of the entire message. For example, the amplitudes of the I and Q branches, of each message element, can be compared to the calibrated amplitude levels of the modulation scheme. Any message element with a large amplitude deviation is suspect. Other factors, such as the SNR, can also be considered in evaluating the validity of each message element. Usually, all of the faulted message elements occupy just a portion of the message. Compact formats are disclosed specifying which portion of the message is to be retransmitted, thereby saving time, power, and background generation.

  • Publication number: 20230001212
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically controlling His-bundle pacing (HBP) according to an indication of a rate-related or intermittent atrioventricular (AV) block in a subject are disclosed. An exemplary medical system includes an AV conduction monitor to detect an indication of either a presence or an absence of intermittent or rate-related AV conduction disturbance using physiologic information of the subject. In the event that an intermittent or rate-related AV conduction disturbance is present, a control circuit provides a control signal to an electrostimulation circuit to deliver HBP pulses. If there is no indication of intermittent or rate-related AV conduction disturbance, or a previously detected intermittent or rate-related AV conduction disturbance has been terminated, the control circuit withholds or discontinues delivery of the HBP pulses to promote intrinsic ventricular conduction and activation.

  • Publication number: 20230006434
Abstract: Methods for arc detection in a system including one or more photovoltaic generators, one or more photovoltaic power devices and a system power device and/or a load connectible to the photovoltaic generators and/or the photovoltaic power devices. The methods may measure voltage, current, and/or power delivered to the load or system power device, and the methods may measure voltage noise or current noise within the photovoltaic system. The methods may periodically, and/or in response to detecting noise, reduce an electrical parameter such as current or voltage in order to extinguish an arc. The methods may compare one or more measurements to one or more thresholds to detect arcing, and upon a comparison indicating that arcing is or was present, an alarm condition may be set.

  • Publication number: 20230004389
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for the use of fused vector processor instructions by a vector processor architecture. Each fused vector processor instruction may include a set of fields associated with individual vector processing instructions. The vector processor architecture may implement local buffers facilitating a single vector processor instruction to be used to execute each of the individual vector processing instructions without re-accessing vector registers between each executed individual vector processing instruction. The vector processor architecture enables less communication across the interconnection network, thereby increasing interconnection network bandwidth and the speed of computations, and decreasing power usage.

  • Publication number: 20230004744
Abstract: Techniques for identifying curbs are discussed herein. For instance, a vehicle may generate sensor data using one or more sensors, where the sensor data represents points associated with a driving surface and a sidewalk. The vehicle may then quantize the points into distance bins that are located laterally along the driving direction of the vehicle in order to generate spatial lines. Next, the vehicle may determine separation points for the spatial lines, where the separation points are configured to separate the points associated with the driving surface from the points associated with the sidewalk. The vehicle may then generate, using the separation points, a curve that represents the curb between the driving surface and the sidewalk. This way, the vehicle may use the curve while navigating, such as to avoid the curb and/or stop at a location that is proximate to the curb.
