  • Publication number: 20220346591
Abstract: A method for making and/or dispensing a beverage may be provided. For example, a beverage may be selected from a user interface of a beverage dispensing apparatus. A beverage pressure value may be provided. A package containing a beverage preparation ingredient may be inserted into the beverage dispensing apparatus. A type of the inserted package may be detected. A package pressure value for the inserted package may be determined based on the type of the inserted package. If the package pressure value corresponds to the beverage pressure value, the beverage dispensing apparatus may inject a liquid into the inserted package at the beverage pressure value. If the package pressure value does not correspond to the beverage pressure value, the beverage dispensing apparatus may inject the liquid into the inserted package at the package pressure value. The selected beverage and/or the modified beverage may be dispensed into a drinking vessel.

  • Publication number: 20220351117
Abstract: According to various embodiments, system, methods and computer program products are configured for providing high fidelity confirmation that a parcel shipped from a consignor via a common carrier have been delivered the proper consignee. As opposed to solely receiving a delivery confirmation signature from the consignee, a common carrier device receives an audio-visual input from the consignee confirming that the parcel has been delivered to the consignee at a delivery location indicated on a shipping label of the parcel. Location information of the common carrier device at the time of the audio-visual input is also collected. The enhanced delivery confirmation may be stored or communicated to the consignor.

  • Publication number: 20220350475
Abstract: A computing device and method for providing a user interface for summarizing and presenting information regarding dynamic provisioning and deployment of media processing resources, in a manner that is easy and intuitive and analogizes well to conventional physical media processing deployment. Users are not required to understand hypervisor configuration or virtual machine deployment, or switch through various layers and screens to find configuration information or controls, a process that may be particularly slow, complex, and difficult to learn, particularly for media and broadcast engineers unfamiliar with virtualization technologies. Instead, the present user interface improves efficiency of use of the computing environment for media processing, by providing deployment information in a format similar to physical processing deployment.

  • Publication number: 20220347596
Abstract: The present application relates to processing of cannabis material, particularly on a large scale, such as at an industrial level. Cannabis is typically a controlled and regulated substance, and has traditionally been processed in low quantities. A human-based manual and/or labour-intensive processing implementation is not scalable, and is therefore infeasible at an industrial level. Disclosed herein are systems and methods for facilitating industrial-scale processing of cannabis material.

  • Publication number: 20220347133
Abstract: A method is provided for treating a patient suffering from apoptosis of tissue comprising administering to that subject a therapeutically effective amount of one or more ketogenic compounds such that a physiological ketosis is produced sufficient to arrest said apoptosis. Preferably the apoptosis is of cerebral tissue such as that associated with acute intractible seizures, particularly with status epilepticus. The method is also applicable to apoptosis associated with administration of topic stuimuli for treatment of cancer, that produced by viral infections, autoimmune diseases or Aquired Immuno Defficiency Syndrome. The ketosis produced is a state in which levels of one or both of acetoacetate and (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate concentrations in the mood of the subject such that their total concentration in the blood is elevated above the normal fed levels to between 0.1 and 30 mM.

  • Publication number: 20220347771
Abstract: A wire saw 1 according to the invention for an endless saw wire 3 has a housing 6, a wire drive 9, and a wire store 7. The wire drive 9 is for pulling the saw wire 3 in a circulating direction 8. The wire store 7 has a first package 31 of deflection rollers 32 and a second package 33 of deflection rollers 32. The second package 33 is mounted so as to be displaceable with respect to the first package 31 along a direction 14 in order to increase a length of the saw wire 3 stored on the wire store 7. A feed device 38 exerts a feed force on the second package 31 in the direction 14. The wire store 7 is arranged downstream of the wire drive 9 in the circulating direction 8. The wire saw pulls the saw wire 3 in the circulating direction 8, resulting in a tensile stress on the saw wire 3 running into the wire saw 1. By contrast, the saw wire 3 running out of the wire saw 1 is largely without tension.

  • Publication number: 20220353673
Abstract: Mobile wireless terminals, such as vehicles in traffic, can determine the relative positions of other vehicles with improved precision by arranging to acquire GNSS (global navigational satellite system) signals simultaneously, and then analyzing the various data sets differentially. Simultaneous acquisition can cancel many important errors such as motional errors of the vehicles, atmospheric distortions, and satellite timebase errors. Differential analysis to determine the relative positions of vehicles (as opposed to their overall geographical coordinates) can reduce errors related to satellite ephemeris and velocity, as well as roundoff errors. Localization with a precision of less than 1 meter can greatly improve collision avoidance while discriminating near-miss scenarios from imminent collisions, according to some embodiments. Messaging examples, in 5G and 6G, to manage the simultaneous acquisition and differential analysis, are provided in examples. Many other aspects are disclosed.
