  • Patent number: 11448582
Abstract: A method is provided for non-intrusively determining deposits of a fluidic channel. The method includes creating a pressure pulse in a fluidic channel. The method also includes sensing, by one or more sensors, reflections of the pressure pulse; and obtaining, from the one or more sensors, a measured pressure profile based on the sensed reflections of the pressure pulse. A processor then can determine one or more properties of the deposit in the fluidic channel based on the measured pressure profile.

  • Patent number: 11448793
Abstract: Non-visible objects which differ in their physical properties from their surroundings by association with a variable strength magnetic field may be detected by a suitable array of sensors which can be moved relative to the object in question. By analyzing the signals from the plurality of the sensors in the array, the position of the object can be deduced relative to the array and the array moved to enable a machining guide thereon to be aligned with the non-visible object. The system is of particular value in locating apertures in wing spars when attempting to fix the skin of the wing on to them where it is important to be able to locate the correct point at which to drill a hole through the skin to coincide with the hole in the spar. By defining a magnetic field in the vicinity of the hole to identify the hole magnetically and using an array of magnetic field sensors in a base with an aperture, it is possible to shift the array so that the aperture is precisely aligned with the non-visible hole.

  • Patent number: 11447515
Abstract: The present invention relates to triterpene glycoside saponin-derived adjuvants, syntheses thereof, intermediates thereto, and uses thereof. QS-7 is a potent immuno-adjuvant that is significantly less toxic than QS-21, a related saponin that is currently the favored adjuvant in anticancer and antiviral vaccines. Tedious isolation and purification protocols have hindered the clinical development of QS-7. A novel semi-synthetic method is provided wherein a hydrolyzed prosapogenin mixture is used to synthesize QS-7, QS-21, and related analogs, greatly facilitating access to QS-7 and QS-21 analogs for preclinical and clinical evaluation.

  • Patent number: 11448716
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for optimizing an MR imaging sequence with a plurality of sequence blocks where gradient requirements of logical gradients switched along axes including a read, slice, and phase axis are determined. Based on the requirements, a reference gradient is determined among the logical gradients having a longest minimum duration relative to remaining logical gradients within the sequence block during which the reference gradient is switched on. A scaling factor is determined for each of the logical gradients. The scaling factors for the logical gradient factors are updated taking into account the determined stretch ratios, and optimized amplitudes are determined for the logical gradients based on the updated scaling factors.

  • Patent number: 11449278
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory machine readable media, and computing devices that accelerate storage operations are disclosed. With this technology, computational storage devices are assigned by a NIC processor of a computational network interface controller (NIC) to storage locations corresponding to respective partitions of an n-dimensional space. One of the storage locations to which a data location in the n-dimensional space maps is then identified by the NIC processor. The data location is determined based on a hash for data associated with a received storage operation. The NIC processor subsequently communicates via a system bus with a storage processor of one of the computational storage device to service the storage operation. The storage processor is coupled directly to flash media of the one of the computational storage device that is assigned to the one of the storage locations and maintains a key/value store comprising the data.

  • Patent number: 11451456
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device classification service obtains telemetry data for a plurality of devices in a network. The device classification service repeatedly assigns the devices to device clusters by applying clustering to the obtained telemetry data. The device classification service determines a measure of stability loss associated with the cluster assignments. The measure of stability loss is based in part on whether a device is repeatedly assigned to the same device cluster. The device classification service determines, based on the measure of stability loss, that the cluster assignments have stabilized. The device classification service obtains device type labels for the device clusters, after determining that the cluster assignments have stabilized.

  • Patent number: 11448799
Abstract: A device for altering vergence of light to improve human vision of an electronic display. The change in vergence is received at the pupil of the wearer. The altered light effectively recreates the rays emitted by a pixel such that they reach a presbyopic eye as though they were being viewed at a distance (i.e., the rays are substantially parallel). As such, the emmetropic presbyopic eye produces a sharp image of the electronic display. The device comprises: a refractive element that refracts rays, emitted from a pixel of an electronic display, at a predetermined vergence, wherein the refractive element is located directly adjacent or on the electronic display.

  • Patent number: 11449338
Abstract: A multi-tile processing system has a plurality of tiles each having an execution unit, and an interconnect operable to conduct communications between a group of the tiles according to a bulk synchronous parallel scheme. The execution unit is operable to execute instructions of an instruction set which has a synchronisation instruction for execution by each tile upon completion of its compute phase. The execution of the synchronisation instruction depends on the state of an exception enable flag. In one state, the synchronisation instruction causes the execution unit to send the synchronisation request to hardware logic in the interconnect. In another state of the exception enable flag the synchronisation instruction does not send the synchronisation request, but sets an exception events status to permit interrogation access to the tile. A corresponding method of controlling the debug states of the processing system is provided.
