  • Publication number: 20220288505
Abstract: An atmospheric water generation system absorbs water from an atmospheric air stream into a desiccant flowing along a flow path of a closed desiccant circulation loop. To ensure that the desiccant remains within the closed desiccant circulation loop, the atmospheric water generation system encompasses a membrane-based water extraction device that the desiccant flows through. The desiccant flows through the membrane-based water extraction device on a first side of a membrane, and the membrane separates the desiccant from a water-collection flow. Water absorbed into the desiccant passes from the desiccant, through the porous membrane, and into the water-collection flow, at least in part due to differences in temperature and/or pressure characteristics of the water flow and the desiccant flow. Water collected within the water-collection flow is directed to a storage tank for usage.

  • Publication number: 20220295562
Abstract: In a 5G or 6G network with high traffic density, wireless users are often forced to delay important transmissions, to avoid interference with other users. For enhanced efficiency and reduced overall latency, a base station can provide an uplink grant to the waiting user before the mandated delay has expired, thereby avoiding wasted time and wasted resources. The base station can determine which user has waited the longest time, and can provide the grant to that longest-delayed user. Message priority and length, and other factors, can also be considered in selecting which user to accelerate, depending on network rules. By allowing a delayed user to immediately transmit when conditions allow, the base station can reduce the average delay per message transmission, assist users in uploading their messages, and enhance network efficiency generally.

  • Publication number: 20220295490
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for conducting wireless communication are provided. One method includes identifying a location of a device and obtaining spectrum usage data from a database. The spectrum usage data indicates a licensed entity licensed within an area including the location of the device to communicate across a first sub-band of frequencies within a frequency band, and one or more transmission characteristics of the transmissions of the licensed entity. The method further includes determining beam steering characteristics for wireless transmissions of the device within the frequency band using the spectrum usage data. The beam steering characteristics are determined using the transmission characteristics for the licensed entity and configured to reduce interference with the transmissions of the licensed entity within the frequency band caused by the wireless transmissions of the device.
