Abstract: Aspects discussed herein may relate to techniques for authenticating a user using transaction-based authentication questions. The transaction-based authentication questions may be generated based on a subset of available financial data. Refund transactions and their related transactions may be identified within the available financial data. Data from the refund transactions and their related transactions may be excluded from being used to generate transaction-based authentication questions. In turn, the transaction-based authentication questions are less likely to confuse the user and are more likely to be memorable to the user. Consequently, the likelihood that the user answers the transaction-based authentication question incorrectly is reduced, thereby avoding delays related to the authentication processes that may frustrate the user.

  • Publication number: 20220290798
Abstract: A display stand has two spaced apart legs connected by a horizontal support bar that is attachable to multiple displays. Carriage assemblies allow the stand to adjust the vertical position of the displays, shuttles and rails allow the stand to adjust the horizontal positions of the displays, and a central joint on the support bar allows the stand to adjust the angle between the displays. The carriage assemblies can convert rotational movement of adjustment handles into vertical movement of the support bar that is synchronized at both legs whether the support bar is in a straight or angled configuration. Wheels on the shuttles can provide smooth, consistent contact with rails in the support bar despite changes in the nominal dimensions of the rails. The display stand provides improved smoothness, rigidity, and comfort for the user to support and use multiple displays on a single stand.

  • Publication number: 20220292291
Abstract: A device configured for more efficiently processing video images within a set of video image data to detect objects is described herein. The device may include a processor configured to execute a neural network such as a convolutional neural network. The device can receive video image data from a plurality of cameras, such as stationary cameras. The device can acquire a set of sample images from a stationary camera and submit them to a specialized neural network for processing to generate an attention mask. The attention mask can be generated from a variety of methods and is applied to each of the subsequently acquired images form the camera to narrow down areas where the convolutional neural network should process data. The application of attention masks to images within video image data creates masked images that can be processed to detect objects with much greater accuracy and fewer computational resources required.

  • Publication number: 20220292477
Abstract: A method of using cryptocurrency to transact fiat currency purchases using conventional POS apparatus includes funding by a user of a cryptocurrency account that requires withdrawal transactions to be signed by both the user and a payment platform. Upon purchase initiation, a platform-issued authorization number is entered into a merchant's POS apparatus and transmitted to the platform. Upon verification of sufficient cryptocurrency, the platform transmits payment information to the user, and upon approval thereof by the user, the user transmits a user-signed cryptocurrency transaction to the platform, and the platform remits fiat currency to the merchant. As purchases continue during an aggregation period, each user-signed transaction is sufficient to fund the aggregated purchases. Upon termination of the aggregation period, the most recent user-signed transaction is executed to withdraw cryptocurrency from the user's account.
