  • Publication number: 20220147489
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program for enabling a user to edit and access local and remote objects via a virtual drive, including objects synchronized to a plurality of synchronization clients. A virtual drive is displayed on the user's local client device with all objects, which a user has synchronized to a synchronization server. A user is able to access and edit any object displayed in the virtual drive. In response to detecting a change in an object in the virtual drive, the object is updated on the synchronization server. All remote clients of the user or of any other users who have access to the changed folder are identified and notified of the change. In response to the change being a change to content within the folder, the content of the folder is automatically updated on any identified remote clients that have a corresponding folder.

  • Publication number: 20220146669
Abstract: For ultrasound imaging using a matrix transducer, interconnects or switches are provided to allow sub-arrays forming a 1D array, such as with sub-arrays one element wide with the maximum number of elements in elevation. Where groups are used to limit the switches and available system channels per group, an extra switch may connect between elements of different groups through a group output to extend a sub-array across groups. To further limit the number of switches, the group may be sub-divided where different combinations of sub-groups are connectable with different combinations of the system channels for the group.

  • Publication number: 20220147824
Abstract: A novel and useful system and method of accelerated learning in neural networks using silicon based quantum dot arrays. Unitary noise is derived from a probability of detecting a particle within a quantum dot array structure comprising position based charge qubits with two time independent basis states |0> and |1>. A two level electron tunneling device such as an interface device, qubit or other quantum structure is used to generate quantum noise. The electron tunneling device includes a reservoir of particles, a quantum dot, and a barrier that is used to control tunneling between the reservoir and the quantum dot. Controlling the bias applied to the barrier controls the probability of detection. Thus, the probability density function (PDF) of the output unitary noise can be controlled to correspond to a desired probability. The quantum unitary noise is injected into one or more layers of an artificial neural network (ANN) to improve the learning and training process.

  • Publication number: 20220148874
Abstract: A method of operating a quadrupole device (10) is disclosed. The quadrupole device (10) is operated in a mode of operation by applying a repeating voltage waveform comprising a main drive voltage and at least one auxiliary drive voltage is applied to the quadrupole device to the quadrupole device (10). The intensity of ions passing into the quadrupole device is varied with time in synchronisation with the repeating voltage waveform. This may be done such that the number of ions per unit phase which initially experience a phase within a first range of phases of the repeating voltage waveform is greater than the number of ions per unit phase which initially experience a phase within a second range of phases of the repeating voltage waveform.
