  • Publication number: 20260156584
Abstract: There is provided techniques for radio power scaling of a signal. A method comprises providing, from a baseband unit to a radio unit, a signal in a frequency-domain representation and priority information of the signal, wherein the signal has an information content composed at least of a low-priority part and a high-priority part, and wherein the priority information specifies which parts of the signal are associated with which priorities. The method comprises applying, by the radio unit, radio power scaling to the signal in accordance with the priority information and in conjunction with transforming the signal to a time-domain representation, wherein, per time unit in the time-domain representation, the low-priority part is allocated a lower power spectral density than the high-priority part.

  • Publication number: 20250330917
Abstract: There is provided techniques for a stream of data samples to meet a power budget. A method is performed by a network node. The method includes obtaining high-priority data samples and low-priority data samples. The high-priority data samples have higher priority than the low-priority data samples. The method includes combining all the data samples into the stream of data samples to be transmitted. Power adjustment is applied to at least some of the data samples in accordance with a maximum power threshold for the stream of data samples to meet the power budget. The power adjustment applied per data sample depends on whether the data sample is a high-priority data sample or a low-priority data sample. According to the power adjustment, the low-priority data samples are allocated lower transmission power than the high-priority data samples.

  • Patent number: 11818719
Abstract: Embodiments herein include a method in a user equipment (UE) for transmitting uplink control information in time slots of a subframe over a radio channel to a radio base station. The uplink control information is comprised in a block of bits. The UE maps the block of bits to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE block spreads the sequence across Discrete Fourier Transform Spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is performed by applying a spreading sequence to the sequence of complex valued modulation symbols, to achieve a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE further transforms the block-spread sequence, per DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is performed by applying a matrix that depends on a DFTS-OFDM symbol index and/or slot index to the block-spread sequence. The UE also transmits the block spread sequence, as transformed, over the radio channel to the radio base station.

  • Publication number: 20230262753
Abstract: A communication device operating in a communications network can determine to transmit information using repetition to a network node operating in the communications network during a random access, RA, procedure. The communication device can further determine a subset of preambles based on determining to transmit the information using repetition. Responsive to determining the subset of preambles, the communication device can determine a preamble of the subset of preambles to transmit to the network node to indicate a type of the repetition. The communication device can further transmit the preamble to the network node. The communication device can further transmit the information using the type of repetition to the network node.

  • Patent number: RE50183
Abstract: Method and apparatus for conveying feedback reports from a data receiving party (300) for data received from a data sending party (302) in a wireless connection. A plurality of feedback resources (304) assigned to different feedback information codes are allocated to the data receiving party for transmitting feedback reports. After checking whether the data was received correctly or not, the data receiving party selects a feedback resource (FR2) with a feedback information code that corresponds to one or more feedback reports on the received data. The data receiving party then sends feedback information on the selected feedback resource to the data sending party, thereby conveying the corresponding feedback information code. In this way, multiple feedback reports can be conveyed in a single feedback resource to the data sending party while still retaining single carrier properties.
