  • Patent number: 11818719
Abstract: Embodiments herein include a method in a user equipment (UE) for transmitting uplink control information in time slots of a subframe over a radio channel to a radio base station. The uplink control information is comprised in a block of bits. The UE maps the block of bits to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE block spreads the sequence across Discrete Fourier Transform Spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is performed by applying a spreading sequence to the sequence of complex valued modulation symbols, to achieve a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE further transforms the block-spread sequence, per DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is performed by applying a matrix that depends on a DFTS-OFDM symbol index and/or slot index to the block-spread sequence. The UE also transmits the block spread sequence, as transformed, over the radio channel to the radio base station.

  • Publication number: 20230308312
Abstract: Method and one or more first devices for supporting calibration of a multi-antenna array comprised in a first antenna device operative with a wireless communication network. The first device(s) provide phase correcting information, to be used in calibration of the multi-antenna array, based on covariances corresponding to recurrent displacement vectors of the multi-antenna array. Said covariances being based on channel estimates estimated from certain radio signals received after transmission over radio propagation channels between said multi-antenna array of the first antenna device and one or more second antenna devices operative with the wireless communication network.

  • Publication number: 20230262753
Abstract: A communication device operating in a communications network can determine to transmit information using repetition to a network node operating in the communications network during a random access, RA, procedure. The communication device can further determine a subset of preambles based on determining to transmit the information using repetition. Responsive to determining the subset of preambles, the communication device can determine a preamble of the subset of preambles to transmit to the network node to indicate a type of the repetition. The communication device can further transmit the preamble to the network node. The communication device can further transmit the information using the type of repetition to the network node.

  • Patent number: 11659511
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements in a base station and a user equipment for determining an uplink transmission timing correction for communication in a telecommunication system in which aggregation of component carriers is applied. The base station receives a signal from the user equipment on an uplink (UL) component carrier and measures the arrival time of the signal. A timing correction of the UL transmission timing based on the arrival time of the signal is determined. Thereupon the base station determines for which of the uplink component carriers used by the user equipment the timing correction is valid. The timing correction and the validity information is sent to the user equipment. The user equipment adjusts the UL transmission timing for each UL component carrier the timing correction is valid for.

Abstract: A mobile terminal camps in a first cell associated with a first reference signal with a first physical structure that relates to a first Time Division Duplex (TDD) allocation of sub-frames for uplink and downlink transmission. The first reference signal is carried by the downlink sub-frames. The mobile terminal detects a broadcast indication of a second physical structure for carrying a second reference signal that relates to a second allocation of sub-frames for uplink and downlink transmissions that differs from the first allocation. The downlink sub-frames according to the second allocation carry the second reference signal. The mobile terminal measures the second reference signal of a neighbor cell as carried by the second physical structure.

  • Patent number: RE49368
Abstract: The present solution ensures that the UEs are able to make use of all the available reference signals that can be used in a cell for performing UE measurements, estimations or demodulations. That is achieved by indicating on a downlink common or shared channel, the MIMO mode settings associated with a specific network node. The indicated MIMO mode settings explicitly or implicitly indicate available common reference signals and/or dedicated reference signals to be used for said UE measurements, estimations or demodulations, which implies that measurements, estimations or demodulations can be performed based on said received indication.
