  • Publication number: 20080073312
Abstract: A composite closure for an associated container is configured to facilitate gripping and manipulation by consumers, as well as handling of closures by automated equipment. The closure includes an inner closure cap, and an outer gripping layer which is applied to at least the periphery of a skirt portion of the closure cap. Notably, the closure cap includes at least one outwardly projecting element which projects to at least the surface of the outer gripping layer. In one aspect of the invention, a plurality of projecting elements are provided in the form of annular elements which project beyond the surface of the outer gripping layer along respective margins thereof, thus facilitating handling by automated equipment. In another aspect of the invention, the projecting portion comprises graphical elements which extend through the outer gripping layer for enhanced gripping and visual appeal.

  • Publication number: 20060101419
Abstract: Determining code coverage of a computer program is disclosed. In an embodiment, the program is divided into a plurality of code sections, and the program including the plurality of code sections is run with a plurality of test data sets. In the first test run, all code sections of the plurality of code sections are instrumented, and in each of a current test run other than the first test run, only those code sections that were not executed in any one of the test runs prior to the current test run are instrumented. A code section being executed in any of one of the test runs of the plurality of test runs is considered covered by the test runs. Additionally, within the current test run, the code coverage measurement is only done on the first execution of a code section.

  • Publication number: 20060043053
Abstract: A plastic closure for a container includes a top wall portion, an annular skirt portion depending from the top wall portion, and a removal tab projecting downwardly from the skirt portion for manipulation of the closure during removal. A sealing plug depends from the inside surface of the top wall portion for disposition generally within the mouth of an associated container. The closure includes a pair of weakened regions which extend along the skirt portion on respective opposite sides of the removal tab, and which further extend along the closure top wall portion on respective opposite sides of the sealing plug.

  • Publication number: 20050264063
Abstract: A rocking infant carrier includes a seat portion for holding an infant, and oppositely disposed curved rails, that contact the ground surface. A panel is movably mounted to the carrier between the oppositely disposed rails. A mechanism for moving the panel, for rocking the carrier, is in the space between the rails and the panel. Rocking occurs as the panel is moved between retracted and extended positions, while the carrier remains in its initial location (position) during the entire time of rocking. Additionally, the rocking is such that it will normally lull an infant to a relaxed state, whereby they fall asleep.

  • Publication number: 20050252878
Abstract: An improved tamper-evident package includes a plastic closure having a top wall portion, a depending annular skirt portion, and a tamper band at least partially detachably connected to the skirt portion. The package includes a container having a neck portion configured for tamper-indicating cooperation with the projections on the tamper band. The container includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced ratchet-like locking teeth, each of which presents a locking surface for interfering engagement with the respective one of the projections on the closure tamper band. Notably, disposition of the flexible projections of the pilfer band in pre-determined relationship to an internal thread formation of the closure permits the flexible projections to be positioned so that each of the locking teeth on the container is engaged by a respective one of the flexible projections attendant to very little relative rotation of the closure relative to the container during removal.

  • Patent number: 6832706
Abstract: A dispensing closure assembly includes an outer closure body having an upper tubular portion which can function as a mouthpiece for users. The closure assembly includes a flexible valve member mounted within the tubular portion of the closure body for dispensing of liquids or like contents by either the application of suction by a consumer, or by squeezing the associated container. By the provision of a liquid seal lip which coacts with an inside surface of the flexible valve member, the closure assembly can be configured to facilitate convenient use by consumers, while avoiding undesirable leakage attendant to normal handling during use.

  • Patent number: 6761275
Abstract: A liner disc for a bottle cap for sealingly closing a bottle includes an annular rim portion and a downwardly domed portion depending from the annular rim portion. The domed portion is convex toward the contents of the bottle. A seal layer is provided on the domed portion. Internal pressure of the contents of the bottle acts in a direction tending to flatten the domed portion which in turn expands an annular side wall of the domed portion outwardly to press the seal layer against the inside surface of the bottle to assist in effecting a seal between the bottle and the cap.
