The method includes connecting the call to an automatic call distributor through a second connection and determining that the call is queued. The method includes terminating the first connection with the caller and receiving an indicator to reestablish a connection with the caller. The method also includes reestablishing a connection with the caller.

The method then proceeds by determining a reliability score for at least one of the plurality of resources. The method continues by determining a particular resource of the plurality of resources to which to route the contact. This determination is based at least in part upon the reliability scores that were determined. The method concludes by routing the contact to the particular resource.

In one embodiment, maximum automatic gain control marks are periodically inserted amongst a series of data fields. The automatic gain control marks include a series of high level marks such that the maximum signal detected in the interior portion of each maximum automatic gain control mark is not reduced by intersymbol interference. Minimum automatic gain control marks are also periodically inserted amongst a series of data fields. In another embodiment, multilevel signals are encoded to facilitate automatic gain control. Abstract: A system and method for reading and writing in a multilevel optical data system is disclosed. The system provides control signals for timing acquisition, level calibration, DC control, AGC, equalizer training and data synchronization. The user data is ECC protected and optionally convolutionally encoded before being combined with the control signals in an information block. The multilevel information block can be written to an optical disc as a series of multilevel marks. The optical disc may also contain an Address in Pregroove signal (AIP) to facilitate synchronization during writing of an information block. The AIP signal has an integer number of address frames per information block.

Abstract: Creation and detection of synchronization marks for a multilevel data storage medium is disclosed. A sequence of symbols is generated and the sequence of symbols is written to the multilevel data storage medium. A corresponding sequence may be generated by a detector and correlated with read data to detect the synchronization mark.
