  • Publication number: 20060274461
Abstract: A system and method for preventing miswiring of a GFCI device wherein load terminals of the GFCI device are provided with a shielding device that requires removal before the load terminals can be connected to a load. By requiring an affirmative act prior to connection of the load terminals of the GFCI to a load, miswiring of the GFCI is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20060235968
Abstract: A method of interacting with a managed data network entity is provided. The method includes a sequence of steps. A change in the operational state of the managed data network entity is detected. A CLI dictionary entry is retrieved form a CLI dictionary associated with the data network entity. Based on the retrieved CLI dictionary entry, CLI commands are extracted therefrom to configure the managed data network entity to reflect the detected change in the operational state. A CLI command sequence is built from the extracted CLI commands. Each CLI command in the command sequence is sent to the managed data network entity for execution. CLI command responses are monitored. Based on a successful execution of CLI commands send, subsequent CLI commands in the CLI command sequence are sent for execution. The solution provides automated configuration management of data network entities from different vendors when SNMP is not a viable option.

  • Patent number: 7101251
Abstract: A computer program product for process control in chemical mechanical polishing is described. The product includes instructions to cause a processor to receive a measurement of an initial pre-polishing thickness of a layer of a substrate from a metrology station, determine a value for a parameter of an endpoint algorithm from the initial thickness of the substrate, receive a monitoring signal generated from monitoring in-situ polishing of the substrate, process the monitoring signal to detect a signal feature indicating a final or intermediate endpoint and send instructions to stop polishing when an endpoint criterion is detected using the endpoint algorithm with the determined value for the parameter.

  • Publication number: 20060192360
Abstract: A vehicle suspension axle wrap is a composite tubular structure of cast or forged shells of part-tubular shape. The shells are assembled into a tubular form and welded together at juxtaposed edges. The shells can be cast or forged accurately to shape and profile to provide an improved quality axle wrap. Wall thickness variations can be designed into the shells. The juxtaposed edges are shaped to space the welding at the edges from the interior of the assembled axle wrap. The edges are beveled adjacent the external circumferential surfaces of the shells to provide a V-shaped groove at which the welding is made. There is a stepped engagement at the edges between the V-shaped groove and the internal surface of the axle wrap to prevent the welding from extending to the internal surface. Each shell is formed with an aperture at which a welded joint can be made between the axle wrap and an axle.

  • Patent number: 7096204
Abstract: A method of brokering a transaction between a consumer and a vendor by a broker, wherein the consumer, the broker and the vendor are all attached to a public network, the consumer having a secure token containing a true consumer identity. The method comprising the steps of: the consumer obtaining a temporary identity from the broker by using the true consumer identity from the secure token; the consumer selecting a purchase to be made from the vendor; the consumer requesting the purchase from the vendor and providing the temporary identity to the vendor; the vendor requesting transaction authorisation from the broker by forwarding the request and the temporary identity to the broker; the broker matching the temporary identity to a current list of temporary identities, and obtaining the true consumer identity; the broker providing authorisation for the transaction based on transaction details and true consumer identity.

  • Publication number: 20060158799
Abstract: Open neutral conductor protection of a 3 phase circuit is obtained by coupling the 3 phase conductors and the neutral conductor of the three phase circuit to a high current GFCI and using power from two of the phases of the 3 phase circuit as the source of power for the high current GFCI. A voltage reducing means such as a step down transformer is connected across two phases of the 3-phase circuit to convert the high voltage, such as 208 volts, across the two phases to 120 volts which is used as the input power for the circuit of the High Current GFCI. In operation, the circuit of the GFCI derives its input power from two separate phases of the 3-phase circuit and, therefore, when an open neutral fault occurs, the supply voltage to the GFCI is not interrupted and the GFCI can continue to provide protection for the system.

  • Publication number: 20060148261
Abstract: A CMP station can be closed loop controlled by using data obtained by an inline metrology station from a first polished wafer to affect the processing of subsequent polished wafers. The first wafer is polished and measured by the inline metrology station. The metrology station measures at various points the array dielectric thickness, field dielectric thickness, barrier residue thickness and metal residue thickness. The data is then inputted into an algorithm and polishing parameter outputs are calculated. The outputs are sent to the CMP station and used to supplement or replace the previous polishing parameters. Subsequent wafers are polished on the CMP station using the revised polishing parameters.

  • Publication number: 20060083914
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a xerogel monolith having a pore diameter distribution includes preparing a first solution comprising metal alkoxide and preparing a second solution comprising a catalyst. A third solution is prepared by mixing the first solution and the second solution together. At least one of the first, second, and third solutions is cooled to achieve a mixture temperature for the third solution which is substantially below room temperature, wherein the third solution has a significantly longer gelation time at the mixture temperature as compared to a room temperature gelation time for the third solution. The method further includes allowing the third solution to gel, thereby forming a wet gel monolith. The method further includes forming the xerogel monolith by drying the wet gel monolith.

  • Publication number: 20060031790
Abstract: In a computing platform, a trusted hardware device (24) is added to the motherboard (20). The trusted hardware device (24) is configured to acquire an integrity metric, for example a hash of the BIOS memory (29), of the computing platform. The trusted hardware device (24) is tamper-resistant, difficult to forge and inaccessible to other functions of the platform. The hash can be used to convince users that that the operation of the platform (hardware or software) has not been subverted in some way, and is safe to interact with in local or remote applications. In more detail, the main processing unit (21) of the computing platform is directed to address the trusted hardware device (24), in advance of the BIOS memory, after release from ‘reset’.
