  • Publication number: 20250147635
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for placing graphical elements on display surfaces. The technique includes generating a first visualization of a first display surface based on a first two-dimensional (2D) parameterization of the first display surface. The technique also includes receiving a first user input that specifies a first location within the first visualization and converting the first location into a second location within the first 2D parameterization. The technique further includes causing a first graphical element to be displayed at a third location on the first display surface based on the second location and displaying, within the first visualization, a first representation of the first graphical element at the first location.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for generating three-dimensional (3D) graphics. The technique includes matching a layout of a plurality of display surfaces within a 3D space to a plurality of mappings between the plurality of display surfaces and a plurality of two-dimensional (2D) regions. The technique also includes determining (i) a location of a graphical element within a first region included in the plurality of 2D regions and (ii) a mapping that is associated with the region and included in the plurality of mappings. The technique further includes converting the location into a set of spatial attributes associated with the plurality of display surfaces based on the mapping and causing the graphical element to be displayed in a display surface included in the plurality of display surfaces based on the set of spatial attributes.

  • Patent number: 12292881
Abstract: Distributed execution of transactions may be performed across shards of a scalable database table. Instructions to perform as part of a transaction with respect to one or more database tables may be received. The instructions may be evaluated with respect to metadata obtained for the database tables to determine an assignment distribution of computing resources of the database system to data that can satisfy the access request. The commit protocol for the transaction may be determined according to the assignment distribution of the computing resources. After a request to commit the transaction is received, the transaction may be committed according to the determined commit protocol.

  • Publication number: 20250126056
Abstract: Data-driven intelligent networking systems and methods are provided. The system can accommodate dynamic traffic with fast, effective per-flow credit-based flow control. The system can maintain state information of individual packet flows, which can be set up or released dynamically based on injected data. Each flow can be provided with a flow-specific input queue upon arriving at a switch. Packets of a respective flow can be acknowledged after reaching the egress point of the network, and the acknowledgement packets can be sent back to the ingress point of the flow along the same data path. As a result, each switch can obtain state information of each flow and perform flow control on a per-flow basis.

  • Publication number: 20250126055
Abstract: A network interface controller (NIC) capable of efficient packet forwarding is provided. The NIC can be equipped with a host interface, a packet generation logic block, and a forwarding logic block. During operation, the packet generation logic block can obtain, via the host interface, a message from the host device and for a remote device. The packet generation logic block may generate a plurality of packets for the remote device from the message. The forwarding logic block can then send a first subset of packets of the plurality of packets based on ordered delivery. If a first condition is met, the forwarding logic block can send a second subset of packets of the plurality of packets based on unordered delivery. Furthermore, if a second condition is met, the forwarding logic block can send a third subset of packets of the plurality of packets based on ordered delivery.

  • Patent number: 12269748
Abstract: Methods for producing a hollow spheres, optionally with a vacuum inside, are disclosed. An example method includes providing a seed with a core and a coating. The seed is heated to a temperature sufficient to transform the coating into a continuous shell having an interior and an exterior. The shell isolates the core from the exterior of the shell. The temperature is also sufficient to cause a reaction with the materials of the core, and the reaction converts the core to a gas within said shell. Controlling the rate of heating and the pressure surrounding the shell allows the shell to expand responsive to gas pressure within the shell. Cooling the shell causes the gases within the shell to revert to a solid form, thereby creating a vacuum within the shell. Products incorporating the hollow spheres are also disclosed.
