  • Patent number: 7736458
Abstract: A method of attaching a MST device to a support member with an adhesive film, the MST device having an attachment face and a first fluid conduit connected to a first aperture in the attachment face; the support member having a mounting face and a second fluid conduit connected to a second aperture in the mounting face; and, the polymer film has an opening for fluid communication between the first aperture and the second aperture, the method comprising the steps of: forming the opening in the polymer film; aligning the opening with at least part of the second aperture; applying heat and pressure to attach the polymer film to the mounting face; and, positioning the MST device such that the opening is aligned with at east part of the first aperture. By pre-drilling the holes in the film, the attachment process is quicker and the resulting fluidic seal in more reliable.

  • Publication number: 20100136824
Abstract: A fuse test and ground device includes an insulated housing with a bore that extends from the front of the housing towards the rear of the housing. An electrical contact is disposed partially within the bore. A current interrupter, such as a fuse, is electrically connected between the contact and a testing ground lead. An eye, having it's surface insulated by the housing, can be attached to the housing and provide a connection point for manipulation of the device. A grounding bore extends from a second aperture into the housing and provides an electrical connection to the contact. A grounding plug can be connected to ground on one end and inserted into the grounding bore to create a permanent ground for the device. An annunciator is connected to the current interrupter such that the annunciator provides an indication when a current flows through the current interrupter.

  • Patent number: 7716429
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for dynamic address tracking. A token module creates a token for a job that accesses data in a storage system comprising a plurality of storage devices. The token comprises a job name. The job is a batch job. A storage module stores location information for the data accessed by the job in a token table. The location information is indexed by the token. In addition, the location information includes an input/output device name, an address space, a data set name, and a storage device name. A communication module receives a diagnostic command comprising the job name. The token module reconstructs the token using the job name. • Publication number: 20100109407
Abstract: Dental devices with cylinders, trunnions, and limit switches, and a method are provided. The dental devices include a cylinder and a trunnion having a cavity and an outer surface. A portion of the cylinder is slidably mounted within the cavity of the trunnion, and a portion of the cylinder protrudes out of the trunnion. The limit switch is coupled to the outer surface of the trunnion, with the limit switch is operable to contact the cylinder. Separation of the limit switch and the cylinder causes actuation of the limit switch, and the actuation of the limit switch inhibits a downward movement of the device. Alternatively, the limit switch may be coupled to the portion of the cylinder that protrudes out of the trunnion, with the limit switch operable to contact the trunnion. As such, separation of the limit switch and the trunnion causes actuation of the limit switch.

  • Publication number: 20100111765
Abstract: A handling device for samples and reagents to be used in testing in a system. Carriers of samples and reagents are loaded on a platform which detects the presence of, and proper loading of, such carriers. The carriers are moved from the platform by a transporter to a bar code reader for identification. A reagent container is rotated during reading to facilitate identification. The transporter further moves identified reagent carriers to a carousel on which the carriers automatically secured for storage awaiting use in testing. The carousel rotates, and selected reagent containers rotate on the rotating carousel, during storage.

  • Patent number: RE41337
Abstract: The entire data path of a synchronous integrated circuit device is initialized in a test mode upon power-up of the synchronous integrated circuit device. Upon power-up of the integrated circuit device in the test mode, a clock signal (either an external clock signal or an associated internal clock signal) is internally clocked. As the clock signal goes to a low logic state upon power-up of the device, a master latch (flip-flop) flip-flop element of the integrated circuit device is loaded with data and is allowed to conduct; a slave latch (flip-flop) flip-flop element of the integrated circuit device does not conduct. As the clock signal goes to a high logic state, the data in the master latch is latched. Also upon the high logic state of the clock, the slave latch element is loaded with data and is allowed to conduct.
