Abstract: A method for automatic selection of viewpoint characteristics and trajectories in volumetric video presentations includes receiving a plurality of video streams depicting a scene, wherein the plurality of video streams provides images of the scene from a plurality of different viewpoints, identifying a set of desired viewpoint characteristics for a volumetric video traversal of the scene, determining a trajectory through the plurality of video streams that is consistent with the set of desired viewpoint characteristics, rendering a volumetric video traversal that follows the trajectory, wherein the rendering comprises compositing the plurality of video streams, and publishing the volumetric video traversal for viewing on a user endpoint device.

Abstract: A processing system including at least one processor may capture data from a sensor comprising a microphone of a wearable device, the data comprising external audio data captured via the microphone, determine first audio data a first audio source in the external audio data, apply the first audio data to a situational detection model, and detect a first situation via the first situational detection model. The processing system may then modify, in response to detecting the first situation via the first situational detection model, the external audio data via a change to the first audio data in the external audio data to generate a modified audio data, in accordance with at least a first audio adjustment corresponding to the first situational detection model, where the modifying comprises increasing or decreasing a volume of the first audio data, and present the modified audio data via an earphone of the wearable device.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, systems and methods aggregating video content and adjusting the aggregate video content according to a training model. The adjusted aggregate video content comprises a first subset of the images and does not comprise a second subset of the images. The first subset of the images is determined by the training model based on a plurality of categories corresponding to a plurality of events. The illustrative embodiments also include presenting the adjusted aggregate video content and receiving identifications for the first subset of the images in the aggregate video content. The method includes receiving an original media asset and derivative versions of the original media asset and associated descriptors, determining a lineage to each derivative version that traces to the original media asset, generating a version history tree of the original media asset representing the lineage to each derivative version and associated descriptors from the original media asset, and presenting at least part of the version history tree to a user. In one aspect, the method further includes receiving a modification to one associated descriptor and updating associated descriptors for related derivative versions with the received modification. The original media asset and the derivative versions of the original media asset can share a common identifying mark.

Abstract: A processing system of a mobile device may determine the device's predicted viewport, which defines a portion of a real world environment that is expected to be visible to the device's user at a future time. The processing system may determine a set of extended reality anchors that are present in the real world environment, where each anchor stores a digital object that, when rendered by the device and presented to the user simultaneously with the real world environment, creates extended reality media. The processing system may remove a first subset anchors from the set, where locations of anchors in the first subset fall outside a threshold distance from the predicted viewport. The removing results in a second subset of anchors remaining in the set. The processing system may download a digital object from a second device, where the digital object is stored by an anchor of the second subset.

Abstract: A mobile device incorporating the subject disclosure may perform, for example, operations including requesting transport characteristics of a network coupled to a server and to the device according to a trajectory of the device. Data packets are transported to the mobile device according to a dynamic adaptive streaming over hypertext transfer protocol. The operations include obtaining the current transport characteristics of the network and predicting a future transport characteristic of the network, according to the trajectory of the device. A time is scheduled for sending a request to the server for transmission over the network of a data packet. The time can be scheduled according to the current and future transport characteristics of the network, to avoid degradation in quality of media content presented by the device. The application/service can determine, based on the project definition and the device capability, a capture suggestion. The capture suggestion can include instructions relating to content to be included in the video. The device can provide the capture suggestion to the user device, obtain media content based on the video, assemble the media project including the media content, and output the media project to a recipient.
