The device may include an analyzer configured to analyze a message entered in a universal input field. The analyzer may also provide a search variable based on the entered message. The device may also include a or which may be configured to receive the search variable and determine at least one suggested destination based on the search variable. The prediction of communication destinations eliminates the need for various menus and sub-menus. Thus, a user may send a communication message without the need of lengthy navigations.

A processing device is interfaced with the at least one second sensor. The processing device is configured to retrieve the data captured by the at least one second sensor, to generate metadata for the recorded media based on the data, the metadata being indicative of the physical condition, and to cause the metadata to be stored in association with the recorded media.

The orientation sensor outputs signals identifying the orientation of the device, while the lock control to allow a user to move the device from a locked state to an unlocked state. The device also includes a plurality of application programs stored in memory. Responsive to the user unlocking the device, a controller will launch a selected application program. The application that is launched by the device is based on an orientation of the device.

Abstract: A dynamic content modification system dynamically modifies content playback based on a user reaction so as to provide an individualized entertainment experience. The system includes a sensor module configured to receive a plurality of sensor measurements of at least one user, and a user model database including a plurality of user models associated with content preferences. A controller is configured to receive the sensor measurements and apply the sensor measurements to at least one user model to determine a prediction of a user reaction to content. The controller further is configured to determine a content modification to a playback of to the content based on the prediction, and to a cause a content reproduction device to play back the content in a manner that incorporates the determined content modification.

Abstract: A database of user preferences for a high quality picture is maintained. Preferences may be generated over time by tracking attributes of pictures that the user has deleted or failed to select for storage. When the camera is in preview mode, the camera may automatically capture image data for one or more pictures as a background operation. When the user commands the taking of a picture, the camera will capture image data for a user photo. A comparison may be made to determine which one of the automatically taken picture or the user photo has a higher correlation to user preferences for a quality photo. If the user photo has higher correlation, it may be retained in the customary manner for digital pictures. If the automatically taken photo has higher correlation, the user may be given the option to select the user photo or the automatically taken photo for retention.

Abstract: The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing focus control for an image-capturing device. An exemplary method includes capturing an image frame using an image-capturing device and recording video tracking data and gaze tracking data for one or more image frames following the captured image frame and/or for one or more images frames prior to the captured image frame. The exemplary method additionally includes calculating a focus distance and a depth of field based at least partially on the recorded video tracking data and recorded gaze tracking data. The exemplary method additionally includes displaying the captured image frame based on the calculated focus distance and the calculated depth of field.

Abstract: A hinge apparatus for automated decoupling that includes an actuatable assembly normally coupled, very robust, and suitable for the hanging of a door/canopy and the like. When mounted, the apparatus is normally decoupled where rapid egress is necessary, and complete removal of the door/canopy is desired. The apparatus includes a hinge finger with a finger pin and a reciprocal hinge finger with a hinge gudgeon. The finger pin normally intersects and freely pivots with respect to the gudgeon, such as when the door/canopy is opened or closed. The actuatable assembly employs a SMDC tip device to actuate a piston that decouples the hinge. Decoupling is effected as the piston linearly shifts moving the hinge finger such that the finger pin no longer intersects the gudgeon and the door/canopy falls away.
