  • Publication number: 20240393092
Abstract: A multifunction primer pocket correction tool that combines three cutting features in a single hand tool for use in ammunition reloading. The tool operates to cut the primer pocket depth, removes the military crimp and chamfers the leading edge of the flash hole in a single process. This combined tool includes a new technology in an external flash hole chamfer. This adds another level of safety and consistency with each casing, while still chamfering, and end milling the primer pocket, all while using the base of the casing as a backstop for consistent depth of cut.

  • Publication number: 20240370937
Abstract: A method of identifying a vehicle total loss claim includes retrieving a plurality of historical vehicle records, labeling the records as repaired or total loss, calculating mean cost values, training a regression model, optimizing a probability threshold, analyzing a plurality of inputs to generate a prediction, and transmitting the prediction. A computing system includes a transceiver; a processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the computing system to receive answers, transmit the answers, receive a prediction, when the prediction is repairable, generate a repair suggestion, and when the prediction is total loss, generate a settlement offer. A non-transitory computer readable medium containing program instructions that when executed, cause a computer to receive answers, transmit the answers, receive a prediction, when the prediction is repairable, generate a repair suggestion, and when prediction is total loss, generate a settlement offer.

  • Publication number: 20240359836
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for producing at extremely high production speeds small pouches filled with tobacco or other granular, powdered or solid content is provided. An endless web substrate, with or without flavor film thereon, is formed into a tubular shape with a longitudinal seam. The tube is cut to individual lengths, and a procession of tubes is crimp-closed at one end, filled and crimp-closed at the other end to complete pouch production. During production, the seams formed at the crimped ends of the pouch are parallel to one another and the longitudinal seam of the pouch is midway between the sides of the pouch and orthogonal to the seams formed at the crimped ends of the pouch.

  • Publication number: 20240302147
Abstract: A Ported Press Adapter Expand Mandrel System (PPAEMS) includes a Ported Press Adapter (PPA) as a significant advancement beyond the Expand Mandrel Window Riser (EMWR) by adding multiple radial holes to provide increased light intrusion, full 360° visibility, and balanced stress distribution with a pattern of port holes, slots, or other openings. Additional clarity is provided by an ancillary light source directed into the working area. Utilizing a small diameter Mandrel Holder (MH) allows for a wide range of mandrel diameters for installation in tight working areas (coax and progressive presses) and improves axially precision with a fine thread pitch.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to identify, classify, and edit artificial spikes in cruise guide indicator (CGI) signal data are disclosed. An example apparatus includes memory, machine-readable instructions, and processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is to execute the machine-readable instructions to identify a spike in the CGI signal data. The processor circuitry is to execute the machine-readable instructions to determine whether the spike is an artificial spike. In response to determining that the spike is an artificial spike, the processor circuitry is to execute the machine-readable instructions to replace a portion of the CGI signal data including the artificial spike and a transient response of the artificial spike with edited CGI signal data.
