  • Patent number: 10422852
Abstract: Described are systems and techniques for determining a position of one or more people within a physical environment, such as an aisle in a fulfillment center. In some instances, the aisle is instrumented with a plurality of radio frequency receivers (RFRXs), active infrared transmitter-receiver pairs (AIRTRPs), and passive infrared (PIR) proximity sensors. A radio frequency-emitting tag carried by the user is detected by the RFRX to determine an identity and approximate position along the length of the aisle. Data indicating obscuration of beams from one or more of the AIRTRPs provides further refinement as to position along the length of the aisle. Data from the PIR provides disambiguation as to which side of the aisle the user is on. Accordingly, the user may be identified and precisely positioned in the aisle.

  • Patent number: 10419242
Abstract: A method involves compiling a first amount of high-level programming language code (for example, P4) and a second amount of a low-level programming language code (for example, C) thereby obtaining a first amount of native code and a second amount of native code. The high-level programming language code at least in part defines how an SDN switch performs matching in a first condition. The low-level programming language code at least in part defines how the SDN switch performs matching in a second condition. The low-level code can be a type of plugin or patch for handling special packets. The amounts of native code are loaded into the SDN switch such that a first processor (for example, x86 of the host) executes the first amount of native code and such that a second processor (for example, ME of an NFP on the NIC) executes the second amount of native code.

  • Publication number: 20190272281
Abstract: A system and method that enables editing capabilities of content accessed from a content management server using any type of locally-installed application is provided. In some embodiments, a content management server stores documents in a cache on the user's computer. Documents can thus be accessed and edited using the document in the local file system of the user. For example, users may open, reserve or lock, download, and edit documents with a single user action such as a click. Advantageously, the teachings of embodiments as described can be used in conjunction with content management systems for improving the user experiences involved in editing documents by providing an ‘instant’ and ‘seamless’ editing experience substantially equivalent to editing files on a local hard disk.
