  • Patent number: 8074094
Abstract: A mechanism for synchronizing states of components in a first routing engine to corresponding components in a second routing engine is provided. In order to reduce the amount of data required to synchronize the state of the components and the time and resources required to perform the synchronization, the state-related information transmitted from the first routing engine to the second routing engine is limited to information used to build states of a subset of the components associated with the first routing engine. That subset of components is limited to those components that receive stimuli (e.g., data streams or data packets) from sources external to the routing engine. Other components on the second routing engine synchronize state by receiving information from those components on the second routing engine that received the external stimuli information.

  • Patent number: 7413508
Abstract: A gaming device and method having a selection award revealing bonus game, where during the primary game the player is awarded indicators. The gaming device reveals the values associated with selections in the bonus game, and the bonus game is initiated upon the player accumulating a predetermined combination of indicators. The player is allowed to pick the selections which the associated values have been previously revealed to the player and the gaming device provides awards associated with the picked selections to the player.

  • Publication number: 20070232377
Abstract: A gaming device and a method of playing a gaming device which includes a game having a plurality of presentations associated with outcomes or combinations in a game. Specifically, the each outcome or combination includes a default presentation and at least one of the outcomes includes one or more alternate presentations. The default and alternate presentations include probabilities of being selected by the processor. In a game, the processor predetermines the winning outcome or non-winning outcome to provide to the player and then selects one of the presentations associated with the determined outcome. The gaming device selects the presentation based on the probabilities of being selected associated with the presentations. The gaming device then provides any award associated with the determined combination to the player.

  • Publication number: 20050026669
Abstract: A gaming method that includes causing a first video image to be generated, wherein the first video image represents a first game selected from the group of first games consisting of video poker, video blackjack, video slots, video keno and video bingo. The method further includes causing a second video image to be generated, wherein said second video image represents an instant bonus game. The method also includes providing said instant bonus game to a player without requiring play of said first game and evaluating a first outcome of said first game when said first game is selected by said player. The method also includes evaluating a second outcome of said instant bonus game when said instant bonus game is selected by said player and determining a first value payout associated with said first outcome of said first game when said first game is selected by said player, and determining a second value payout associated with said instant bonus game when said instant bonus game is selected by said player.

  • Publication number: 20050012578
Abstract: A gas segregator barrier is for quenching, segregating and controllably directing ionized gases discharged from a pair of spaced-apart circuit breakers double-branch mounted within a panelboard assembly. The spaced-apart circuit breakers include corresponding pairs of opposing poles, and a housing with exhaust vent openings for discharging ionized gases developed from an electrical fault. The gas segregator barrier includes at least substantially parallel segregator fins divided into first and second portions by a transverse dividing member. Baffles in the transverse dividing member quench the ionized gases and provide fluid communication between exhaust channels formed between the segregator fins of the first portion, and gas ducts disposed between the segregator fins of the second portion. The gas ducts include one or more lateral members structured to controllably direct the discharged ionized gases.
