  • Patent number: 12649992
Abstract: Example approaches are disclosed for manufacturing composite or fiber reinforcement preforms. Liquid, fibrous, binding and potentially other materials are mixed into a composite mixture slurry in a slurry container. A porous tool having a specific porous outer surface portion approximating a specific exterior surface portion of a spatial shape of a final product is immersed in the slurry container. A suction pressure is applied to draw a portion of the fibrous material intermixed with a corresponding portion of the binding material in the slurry onto the specific outer surface portion. The porous tool attached with the wet preform is removed from the slurry container. The wet preform is partially dried into a partially dried preform attached to the porous tool. The partially dried preform is dried, solidified and/or consolidated and/or injected with a resin and cured into a solid composite preform of the spatial shape of the final product.

  • Publication number: 20260016011
Abstract: A multi-stage compressor system for compressing a working fluid includes a compressor housing and a drive unit configured to drive a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft defines a first axis of rotation and the second shaft defines a second axis of rotation, where the first axis is parallel to the second axis of rotation. The compressor system further includes a first airend and a second airend operable to receive and compress the working fluid. The first airend includes a first rotor configured to be driven by the first shaft and a second rotor configured to be driven by the second shaft. The second airend further compresses the working fluid received from the first airend, and includes a third rotor configured to be driven by the first shaft and a fourth rotor configured to be driven by the second shaft.

  • Patent number: 12378009
Abstract: Rocket components having internal heat fins are described herein. The disclosed components have internal heat fins that mitigate buckling and uneven force application by adding thermal capacity to the component without adding component stiffness. This reduces a thermal force fight (i.e., tension versus compression between cold and hot areas, respectively), which inhibits the buckling loads on the propellant tank. The internal heats fins also provide for a reduced mass of the propellant tank wall relative to a propellant tank wall without internal heat fins. By reducing the thermal force fight, as discussed above, less material can be used which further allows for thinner welds to be used (i.e., less welding material).

  • Patent number: 11837263
Abstract: Provided are a tape erase element, tape erase device, and method for forming a tape erase element to erase content of a tape medium. The tape erase element comprises a housing forming a gap extending along a length of an outer surface of the housing. The gap extends from the outer surface of the housing to open into an inner space formed within the housing. A magnet is positioned within the inner space of the housing and having a surface extending across the gap. The magnet produces a magnetic flux that extends through a tape contact zone extending across a portion of the outer surface of the housing and the gap to erase content on the tape medium as the tape guide rollers guide the tape medium across the housing through the tape contact zone.

  • Patent number: 11297971
Abstract: A beverage brewing device is configured to brew beverages such as coffee and tea. A brewing canister having a filter at a bottom end is held partially within a receiving beaker, and a seal is created between the canister outer surface and the beaker inner surface. Brewing media such as coffee grounds and brewing fluid such as hot water are added to the canister, mixed, and allowed to brew. At a desired time, the receiving beaker is moved relative to the brewing canister so that the brewing canister is partially removed from the receiving beaker. As such, a vacuum is formed between the bottom end of the brewing canister and the receiving beaker. The filter stops brewing media from flowing into the receiving beaker, but the vacuum draws the brewed beverage through the brewing media and filter and into the receiving beaker.
