  • Publication number: 20080001141
Abstract: A doped nanostructure network, devices incorporating a doped nanostructure network and fabrication methods thereof are described. Dopant may be deposited by a solution-based method, and the dopant is preferably stable over an extended period of time. Networks according to embodiments of the present invention can exhibit conductivities in excess of 4000 S/cm.

  • Publication number: 20070290404
Abstract: A process for making a framed electrode by injection molding. The process comprises placing a flat piece of electrode material on a shrinkage-free under mold frame and attaching it thereto in a manner which substantially prevents the piece and the frame from moving relative to each other, over molding the resultant assembly by injecting a molten resin into an over molding cavity which contains the assembly, and allowing the resin to solidify. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Publication number: 20070284557
Abstract: A transparent and conductive film comprising at least one network of graphene flakes is described herein. This film may further comprise an interpenetrating network of other nanostructures, a polymer and/or a functionalization agent(s). A method of fabricating the above device is also described, and may comprise depositing graphene flakes in solution and evaporating solvent therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20050135857
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present exemplary embodiment, provided is a hand-held printer system and method for printing on a target. The system includes a hand-held printer, a target position sensing system which senses a position of the target, and a hand-held printer position sensing system which senses a position of the hand-held printer relative to a printing surface of the target. A control mechanism actuates the printing of the hand-held printer based on the sensed positions.

  • Publication number: 20050036672
Abstract: A method for reconstructing three dimensional shapes from two dimensional image domains uses glyph address carpets as a structured light pattern. The glyph address carpet includes a glyph encoding scheme in which the coordinates of any given point can be computed by looking at the glyph marks in a small neighborhood. The method includes calibrating at least one projecting device and at least one image detecting device and projecting a glyph address carpet pattern onto a three dimensional figure. The projected glyph address carpet pattern is detected and used to reconstruct the three dimensional coordinates for each readable glyph mark within the projected glyph address carpet pattern.

  • Patent number: 5810214
Abstract: A simplified method and an apparatus for making bows comprises a base into which movable rods and fixed hoops are perpendicularly set whereupon a bow or other decoration may be made by winding ribbon or the like around the rods while retaining said ribbon between the hoops and then tying off the ribbon into a bow through the application of a tying means banded transversely and securely around the wound ribbon, whereupon said bow is removed from device and shaped into an aesthetically pleasing bow.

  • Patent number: 4714182
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making bows comprises a tie member wrapping machine which wraps a tie member around a run of ribbon and twists it at the free ends. In order to dispose the tie at the center of the run of ribbon, a jig is mounted on the head of the wrapping machine to position the ribbon at the slot of the machine and to center the ribbon relative to the slot. The jig includes diverging rods around which the ribbon is wrapped. As the ribbon is moved rearwardly into the slot, a slack develops in the ribbon to permit a tight cinching of the central portion by the tie member.

  • Patent number: 4674380
Abstract: An apparatus for longitudinally cutting a web into a plurality of ribbons has a plurality of blade holders mounted so that the relative spacing as well as the overall lateral position of the blades can be shifted in response to growth, shrinkage, and lateral shifting of webs, while maintaining the blades perpendicular to the direction of travel of the web. The blades are held in holders having the ends interconnected by a parallelogram linkage and clamped to a rigid bar and a flexible extensible rod.
