Abstract: A smart volume adjusting method for a multi-medium system is described, through which ears of a user of the multi-medium system may be protected and the problem that an initial volume is not suitable for hearing habit of the user when an audio playing device of the multi-medium system is connected may be overcome. In the method, type of the audio playing device used by the user is identified based on resistance of the audio playing device since each audio playing device has its specific resistance. Further, a customary volume with respect to the user is recorded and then taken as a reference to dynamically adjust a volume output in the multi-medium system.

Abstract: A method for restoring automatically an original setting in a mobile device is disclosed in which a monitoring module is included, comprising the steps of memorizing a plurality of initial communication settings by the monitoring module when a SIM card is inserted in the mobile device as a spare copy of parameters, examining a plurality of APs parameters stored in the mobile device, comparing the spare copy of parameters and the plurality of APs parameters, and executing automatically an initial setting process on the mobile device and overwriting the plurality of APs parameters stored in the mobile device. As such, the previous basic settings of the mobile device may be rapidly restored in a simple manner and the mobile device may be restored back to a normally state.

Abstract: A method for administrating SMS message of mobile phone is disclosed, The method comprises the steps of receiving an SMS message;. analyzing the sender ID; determining whether the sender ID matches with the lists set by the user on the guard function; if the sender ID is matched, the receive/instant-delete function will be check whether it is initiated; if it is initiated, the received SMS message will be deleted instantly without display; if it is not initiated, informing the new SMS message to the user by the vibration of mobile phone and sending the received SMS message directly to the spam SMS message file; if the sender ID is not matched, displaying the received new SMS message. The present invention utilizes a multi-layer type SMS-message guard function to abate various SMS-message nuisances and provides a simple administration interface, easiness of operation, and convenience of receiving for the user.

Abstract: A mobile phone capable of presenting a clock thereon in a power-off mode is disclosed, in which a user thereof may initialize the clock to be presented when the mobile phone is powered off simply by pressing a specific key on the mobile phone without the need of powering on the mobile phone. Further, when the mobile phone has dual display screens, a secondary display screen is used for presenting the clock so as to achieve the purposes of power saving and inconvenience elimination of outer body rotation of the mobile phone.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of transmitting facsimile over a mobile communication device, capable of fast and effectively sending facsimile by wireless facsimile services, comprising the steps of: defining a data structure to set up a transmission format; editing a facsimile content to conform to the transmission format; verifying the GPRS authentication to start the communication service for data transmission; waiting to receive the response for successful transmission after the data have been transmitted, so as to confirm the completion of the operations, and finally disconnecting the GPRS service.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method of storing data for driving an MMC or SD under an operating system (e.g., Linux), which comprises the steps of collecting data in a plurality of discreet blocks of a high-speed buffer for each writing request made by a device driver under the OS; temporarily storing data in a plurality of continuous blocks of another buffer; and writing data from the continuous blocks of another buffer into a continuous block of the MMC or the SD in one operation in the form of multiple blocks in due time. By utilizing this method, data writing speed is significantly increased.

Abstract: A communication system includes a wireless network service, a bound telephone device, and a handheld communication device. In this case, the bound telephone device couples with the wireless network service, and the handheld communication device has a wireless network search module and a call divert module. The wireless network search module detects the wireless network service. When the wireless network service is detected by the wireless network search module, the call divert module executes a call divert setup to divert a call from the handheld communication device to the bound telephone device. In addition, a handheld communication device and a method for automatic call diverting are provided.

The clock and data recovery system includes a phase detector having logic configured to detect a meta-stability condition and to generate an output signal to mitigate the condition. The system can also include a time varying gain adjustment portion. This portion includes a gain control logic configured to determine and adjust system gain during reception of an incoming data stream. The system further includes a phase interpolator having increased linearity. The phase interpolator has a plurality of first branches having a differential transistor pair, a switch, and a current source, coupled between a first output and a first supply voltage and a plurality of second branches having a differential transistor pair, a switch, and a current source, coupled between a second output and the first supply voltage. The phase interpolator can also include an integrator portion.

The setting module is located in the speaker for setting the tone of the receiver and mating the phone number of the speaker and the corresponding tone. The receiving module detects and receives the phone number of a phone connecting to the receiver. The number comparing and judging module compares and determines whether the detected phone number matching the phone number of the speaker. When the phone numbers match, the audio broadcasting module broadcasts in the receiver the tone corresponding to the phone number of the speaker.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a dynamic power control circuit for a wireless communication device, which comprises a power detector, a comparator, a low pass filter and an adder disposed between a radio frequency auto-gain control circuit and an antenna thereof. A reference voltage is imposed on the adder to enable the power detector to detect and output signal voltage to the comparator which compares the received voltage with a specified received voltage limit and outputs a reference voltage to the low pass filter for filtering out the noise of the reference voltage and outputting it to the adder. The adder then adds the reference voltage and the specified reference voltage, and outputs the result to the radio frequency auto-gain control circuit for controlling the output power corresponding to the strength of the received signals.

The setting system includes a short distance transmission module and a short distance receiving module. The short distance transmission module is located in a transfer phone to transmit the telephone number data thereof. The short distance receiving module is located in the mobile phone to receive the telephone number data of the transfer phone. After the short distance receiving module has received the telephone number data of the transfer phone, the mobile phone is set to automatic transfer to the telephone number of the transfer phone.
