  • Patent number: 7793118
Abstract: An electronic device with several charging modes includes a transmission module, a central control module, an interface module, and a power module. The transmission module includes a first connecting terminal for connecting an external electronic product and produces a corresponding identification signal according to each external electronic product. The central control module supplies different power supplies to each external electronic product and produces a corresponding power setting signal. The interface module obtains a different power supply for each external electronic product through the transmitting module and converts each different power supply into a same charging power according to the power setting signal and identification signal. The power is stored in the power module to charge the power module, so that the electronic device just needs a transmitting module to obtain the power from any external electronic product, and thus greatly improve the convenience of charging the electronic device.

Abstract: A renewable energy system maintenance method comprises network server based system for monitoring and repairing, for example, a solar power installation. Such comprises solar panels to convert sunlight to DC electricity, one or more inverters to convert the DC to AC electricity, and a metered utility connection for selling to or offsetting energy charges for AC electricity from an electric utility. A monitor with sensors and connections to the inverter provides system operation measurements and data through a wireless or wired connection the Internet. A centralized server collects measurements and data from many solar installation monitors and analyzes the inputs to provide useful information to the users and their systems integrator and third parties. In particular, such information is employed in several ways to conduct various parts of a solar energy business.

  • Publication number: 20090234757
Abstract: A renewable energy monitoring system collects streams of informational reports from remote renewable energy systems. It separates the data streams by client, and client identification, in order to template such data streams onto models of clients' equipment configurations and topologies. The system sorts and groups client data by categories, so workstations can be employed to access statistics, monitor operational flags, initiate/display reports, and control system operations. Particular client/user information is accumulated and assembled on a per account basis to issue client statements, revenue checks, invoices, and controls, wherein, headquarters workstations can be used to access single-client statistics, monitor operational flags, initiate/display reports, and engage payables, receivables, and general ledger accounting operations.

  • Patent number: 7564212
Abstract: A mobile communication device is provided. The mobile communication device includes a processing unit, a battery unit, a solar cell unit, an electronic switch circuit and an analog to digital converter (ADC). In the mobile communication device, the solar cell unit receives a light and thus a luminance and transforms the luminance into an analog voltage. The ADC is configured to convert the analog voltage into a digital voltage. The processing unit is used to transmit a control voltage according to the digital voltage. In response to the control signal, the electronic switch circuit is controlled to turn the solar cell unit on or off and the solar cell unit provides all, a portion or none of a working current required for the processing unit according to the action of the electronic switch circuit.

  • Publication number: 20090133154
Abstract: In a transgenic plant, a stress-responsive promoter containing CE3 and ABRE2 from HVA1 ABRC3 and CE1 from HVA22 ABRC1, directs low background expression of a gene under normal growth conditions, but is highly inducible by an abiotic stress, such as abscisic acid, dehydration, salt or cold. Compared with the wild type plant, the transgenic plant that expresses a stress-resistant gene under the control of the stress-responsive promoter is more resistant and/or tolerant to abiotic stresses and exhibits similar or higher growth rate and strength under regular or normal environmental conditions.

  • Publication number: 20090123011
Abstract: A method and hearing aid mold are provided for a hearing device with a first segment for insertion into the auditory canal of the user, a second segment, which projects into the concha of the user when inserted, and a vent, which runs from the first segment into the second segment. A vent opening, which may be enclosed by a titanium ring, is directed in the second segment toward the outer ear of the user, so that an exchange of air can be achieved between the auditory canal and the rear of the outer ear through an opening in the outer ear. Ventilation of the auditory canal from the rear of the outer ear reduces the risk of feedback.

  • Publication number: 20080317272
Abstract: A hearing device, in particular a hearing system, is designed more acoustically stable with regard to feedback as well as more mechanically stable with regard to external influences by a sound emission tube for direct connection to an output nozzle of an earpiece of a hearing device. The sound emission tube has an outer sheath made from a first plastic and an inner wall made from a second plastic that is more elastic than the first plastic. The outer sheath and the inner wall are produced by 2-component injection molding. The inner wall damps vibrations from the earpiece outward or shocks from the outside to the earpiece. Conversely, the outer sheath provides for the mechanical stability and the sufficiently rigid mounting of the earpiece.
