  • Publication number: 20070067936
Abstract: A yoke type paint roller frame having a pair of arms joined at one end and each one terminating at the opposite end on which a roller of selected length can be journalled. A cross bar is connected to respective ones of the pair of arms at a preselected location thereon spaced from the roller and is prevented from sliding longitudinally along respective ones of such arms. • Publication number: 20070051259
Abstract: An improved device for distributing tickets or coupons is disclosed that includes a plurality of ticket chutes each having a ticket guide assembly for guiding tickets through the chute and an exit slot and biasing tickets against a drive wheel which engages the tickets. The drive wheel is powered by a motor which uses a drive belt to power a screw gear which in turn rotates and axle on which the drive wheel is attached. The motor is activated by a controller in response to an input signal and the controller may also received input from an optical sensor in the chute for the detection of the tickets and the movement of the motor.

  • Patent number: 7076465
Abstract: Processing a group of accounts corresponding to different products. A group of accounts are linked together to create a group so that group processing can be performed at the group level while independent processing of the accounts is performed at the account level. Typically, a group includes a key account and one or more dependent accounts. The relationships between the accounts and the group are flexible to accommodate changes in the status of the group cardholders. Group level processing includes authorizing transactions, applying group payments, creating group statements, creating cardholder communications, and administering reward programs. Each dependent account has an associated dependent strategy that specifies group level processing options for the dependent account.

  • Patent number: 5550456
Abstract: A control scheme for a wound rotor synchronous generator whereby feedback signals corresponding to the exciter field current and the generator output voltage potential combine together to control the generator output voltage in such a way that at lower generator speeds and lower load requirements, exciter field current saturation is eliminated by reducing generator output voltage. The generator control scheme includes a circuit for sensing exciter field current in logic cooperation with a circuit for sensing generator voltage. Both sensing circuits regulate the current applied to the exciter field which corresponds to the rectified current applied to the field windings of the power generator. During steady state operations the generator output voltage is regulated using the generator output voltage as a feedback signal.

  • Patent number: 5079942
Abstract: In place calibration of the permanent on-line force measurment system of a rolling mill is performed by replacing the working rolls with dedicated calibration rolls, which can be scrap working rolls. Discontinuities formed in the cylindrical surfaces of dedicated calibration rolls, such as flat surfaces or preferrably flat bottomed longitudinal grooves, are engaged by interface members which also engage confronting flat surfaces or grooves in calibration load cells inserted between the dedicated calibration rolls. The interface members, which are made of a softer material than both the calibration rolls and the load cells, cold flows to evenly distribute the load and eliminate the need for precision machining of the interfaces. The dedicated calibration rolls can also be fixed, such as by welding, to dedicated calibration roll chocks which mount the calibration rolls in the mill housing to further prevent roll rotation and ejection of the calibration load cells.

  • Patent number: 4200863
Abstract: An array of binary weighted capacitors, an additional capacitor having a capacitance value equivalent to that of the least of the binary weighted capacitors, a voltage comparator, switches for interconnecting the capacitors with certain predetermined voltage levels and the comparator, and a sequencing circuit are included. One side of all of the capacitors is connected to one input terminal on the comparator and the other side has applied thereto the signal to be quantized. Switch sequencing combines divided portions of a reference voltage with the signal to be quantized for presentation to the input of the comparator which thereby provides a serial digit output connected to the sequencing circuit. In this fashion, a linear conversion between an analog and a digital signal is made by the sequencing circuit. A nonlinear converter between digital and analog signal presentation is also disclosed.
