  • Patent number: 5611379
Abstract: A head cover for an iron golf club has an enlarged cover section which fits over the head of irons of different sizes. The cover section includes an internal cavity with an enlarged open mouth through which the head passes upon placing the cover section over the head and a protector section which covers at least partially the hosel member of the shaft when the head is received within the cavity. A clip near the open mouth expands with the shaft of the iron golf club being pushed into the cavity and retracts to hold the shaft when the head is received within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 5476289
Abstract: Disclosed is a tag 10 adapted to be attached to a bag and the like. It includes a case 12 having a front face adapted to display identification and a recessed back section 18, and a plurality of tee holding elements 16 mounted to the back section. The tee holding elements 16 are each adapted to hold an individual golf tee 22 so that each tee is generally parallel to an adjacent tee. A clip 42 is connected to the case 12 for attaching the tag 10 to a golf bag and the like.

  • Patent number: 5425186
Abstract: An overshoe includes an upper section having an entryway into which a shoe is inserted, a heel (14), and a sole (12) spaced from the heel (14), with the heel (14) and sole (12) having a common longitudinal axis and common interior and exterior surfaces. The upper section, heel (14) and sole (12) are unitary structure formed from an elastic polymeric material to provide an overshoe which stretches lengthwise along the longitudinal axis of the heel (14) and sole (12) to fit a plurality of different size shoes. The heel (14) and sole (12) each have an accordian-like configuration with a plurality of spaced apart bars in a row separated from each other by channels on the exterior surfaces of said sole (12) and heel (14) , and a plurality of parallel ridges (22) in a row separated by recesses (26) on the interior surfaces of the sole (12) and heel (14) . Each ridge is directly opposite a bar (18).

  • Patent number: 5419551
Abstract: A multi-purpose golf tool 10 comprises a housing 12 having an exterior surface including a first side with a window therein and a second side with first and second openings therein. A score wheel 18 inside the housing 12 has one side with numbers displayed thereon and a rim. The rim partially extends through the first opening to enable the wheel 18 to be manually rotated by pushing against the portion of the rim extending through the first opening. The wheel 18 is mounted so that individual ones of the numbers move in sequence into alignment with the window as the wheel 18 is rotated. A brush 20 mounted within the housing 12 is manually moved between a first position where the brush 20 is enclosed within the housing 12 and a second position where the bristles of the bush extend through the second opening outward from the housing.

  • Patent number: 5184375
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for holding a score card. It has three pieces: (1) a rigid, generally rectangular, planar support member having an edge portion, an inside surface, and an outside surface, and (2) a clip member 14 secured along the edge portion of the support member 12, and (3) a hook member 28. The support member has dimensions slightly greater than the dimensions of the score card and a cut-a-way corner section, and the clip member 14 is a unitary structure made from a polymeric material. It has three main components: a mounting section 24, a finger element 26, and a pencil holder 30. The mounting section 24 abuts and is secured to the inside surface 22 of the support member 12 adjacent the edge portion of the support member. The finger element 26 extends outwardly in a first direction from the mounting section 24, and has a downward extending tip section 34 which is spaced from the mounting section 24 to provide a narrow gap A which receives the edge portion of the support member.
