  • Publication number: 20240090721
Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

  • Publication number: 20240087200
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can identify a virtual character being presented to a user within a real-time immersive environment. A first animation to be applied to the virtual character is determined. A nonverbal communication animation to be applied to the virtual character simultaneously with the first animation is determined. The virtual character is animated in real-time based on the first animation and the nonverbal communication animation.

  • Patent number: 11928740
Abstract: A multivariate predictive system processes usage based data that includes a database engine that provides access to a plurality of database management systems that mine diverse sources of usage based data. A digital filter selectively filters data streams that include usage based data. A sampler automatically divides the filtered data into sample groups and stores the sample groups in a memory. The sampler divides the filtered data according to insurance rating variables processed by a processor programmed to underwrite an insurance product and rate that insurance product. Some samplers store the divided filter data in a local memory. A multiplier multiples rating factors preprogrammed with the insurance rating variables with a base rate of insurance to determine an insured's insurance premium.

  • Patent number: 11857774
Abstract: Provided herein is a method and apparatus for venting of intravenous tubing to remove air bubbles, and more particularly, to a venting valve that allows air bubbles to escape along a venting path while not permitting fluid passage through the venting path. An example air extraction device may include: a chamber; a fluid inlet to convey fluid from intravenous tubing into the chamber; a fluid outlet to convey fluid from the chamber to intravenous tubing for supplying to a patient; a top portion of the chamber; a branch tube extending from the top portion of the chamber, where the branch tube receives air from the fluid in the chamber; and a ball received within the chamber, where the ball is configured to rise with an influx of fluid to the chamber from the fluid inlet and to seal off the branch tube from the chamber in response to the fluid level rising to the top portion of the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20210365471
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for generating insights based on numeric and categorical data. One example method includes receiving a request for an insight analysis for a dataset that includes at least one continuous feature and at least one categorical feature. Continuous features can have any value within a range of numerical values and categorical features are enumerated features that can have a value from a predefined set of values. A selection of a first continuous feature for analysis is received, and at least one categorical feature is identified for analysis. A deviation factor and a relationship factor are determined for each identified categorical feature. An insight score is determined for each identified categorical feature that combines the deviation factor and the relationship factor for the categorical feature. The insight score is provided for at least some of the identified categorical features.

  • Patent number: 9182428
Abstract: A circuit may sense the differential voltage across two nodes that each have a non-zero common mode voltage. The circuit may have a positive input impedance that is imposed across the nodes. An impedance compensation circuit may generate a compensation current that is delivered to the nodes that substantially cancels the loading effect of the positive input impedance. The impedance compensation circuit may generate a negative input impedance that is imposed across the two nodes that is substantially the same as the positive input impedance. The impedance compensation circuit may instead be configured to deliver the compensation current to the nodes.

  • Publication number: 20130212574
Abstract: A sub-device agent running on a network device provides tools for detecting and managing sub-devices connected to the network device. The sub-device agent reports the presence of the sub-devices to a configuration manager, which provides a user interface for managing the sub-devices. The sub-devices are not directly detectable by or visible to the configuration manager. The sub-device agent provides access to the sub-devices for monitoring, configuring, updating, etc. The sub-device agent may be used to install or upgrade firmware or software on the sub-device or to monitor a status of the sub-device. Sub-device modules, such as OEM plug-ins and drivers, may be used by the sub-device agent to discover and manage the sub-devices.

  • Patent number: 8468294
Abstract: A memory system and methods of its operation are presented. The memory system includes a controller and a non-volatile memory circuit, where the non-volatile memory circuit has a first section, where data is stored in a binary format, and a second section, where data is stored in a multi-state format. The memory system receives data from the host and performs a binary write operation of the received data to the first section of the non-volatile memory circuit. The memory system subsequently folds portions of the data from the first section of the non-volatile memory to the second section of the non-volatile memory, wherein a folding operation includes reading the portions of the data from the first section rewriting it into the second section of the non-volatile memory using a multi-state programming operation. The controller determines to operate the memory system according to one of multiple modes.

The memory system includes a volatile buffer memory and a non-volatile memory circuit, where the non-volatile memory circuit has a first section, where data is stored in a binary format, and a second section, where data is stored in a multi-state format. When writing data to the non-volatile memory, the data is received from a host, stored in the buffer memory, transferred from the buffer memory to into read/write registers of the non-volatile memory circuit, and then written from the read/write registers to the first section of the non-volatile memory circuit using a binary write operation.

  • Publication number: 20080040958
Abstract: A product badge coupled to a product, such as an information handling system, displays product information to align with a selected of plural product orientations by illuminating a first display material to present the product information in a first orientation associated with a first product orientation and a second display material to present the product information in a second orientation associated with a second product orientation. For instance, illumination by a backlight presents the product information in the first orientation by interacting with the first display material, and suspension of illumination by the backlight presents the product information in the second orientation by allowing reflective light to interact with the second display material. Selection of illumination is automatically or manually accomplished.
