  • Publication number: 20180219414
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide an electronic device to allow wireless charging of the electronic device when it is operated in various operation modes. The electronic device can include a base member comprising a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface and a display member rotatably connected to the base member. The electronic device can include a rechargeable battery and a receiver to wirelessly charge the rechargeable battery when the bottom surface of the base member is to be placed atop a transmitter. As an example, the bottom surface of the base member is to remain atop the transmitter while the electronic device is in different operation modes.

  • Publication number: 20180165391
Abstract: One embodiment provides a method for identifying a probability that an object will fail, comprising: generating a plurality of force distributions for an object, wherein a force distribution simulates an amount of force on the object resulting from an activity with the object; compressing the plurality of force distributions into a set of conditions; performing an analysis on the set of conditions to determine a stress experienced by the object; and identifying a probability that the object will fail, wherein the identifying comprises determining whether the stress experienced by the object exceeds a yield stress of the object. Other aspects are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20170286995
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed towards a product placement system that enable a media buyer to define a persona, which is a visual representation of a fictitious individual that represents a target audience for a placement campaign, and a placement is a visible display of a product that is placed in a media vehicle. The invention stores the persona, which represents a target audience, ingests data that about placement opportunities, identifying one or more opportunities whose characteristics overlap the characteristics of the target audience, calculates an audience score, identifies one or more opportunities with which the target audience engages using social media, and calculates an engagement score that measures the relative level of engagement with the identified opportunities by the target audience.

  • Publication number: 20150178059
Abstract: A user can request that an application be downloaded to a computing device. The computing device can establish an application streaming session with a server system. In the application streaming session, the server system can send application content to the computing device, the computing device can render the application content, the computing device can receive user inputs and the computing device can send input information back to the server system. The computing device can download and install the application during the application streaming session. In this way, the user can begin using the application via the application streaming session instead of waiting for the application to be downloaded and installed before using the application. When the user subsequently requests to use the application, the application installed on the computing device can be launched.

  • Patent number: 8299269
Abstract: Nor-seco-type cucurbit[n]uril compounds and methylene bridged glycoluril oligomers are produced by reacting glycoluril and formaldehyde in strong organic or mineral acid at a temperature adequate to condense the reactants. These compounds are characterized by lacking —CH2— groups rendering their internal cavities more open and, for example, more responsive to guest compounds.

  • Patent number: 8112335
Abstract: Processing pricing data can be provided by receiving first data associating a first price source, a first market condition, and an instrument; receiving second data from at least one of a plurality of price sources, the second data comprising a first price quote for the instrument; determining that the at least one of the plurality of price sources matches the first price source; and generating a second price quote for the instrument based on the second data. Time data may be used for synchronizing the first data and the second data. The first price source may be changed to a second price source and/or the first market condition may be changed to a second market condition; and a third price quote generated for the instrument based on the associated second price source. Cached data may be used for processing the pricing data.
