    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for the management and control of electrolyte within confined electrochemical cells or groups (e.g. stacks) of connected electrochemical cells, for example, in an electrolyzer. Various embodiments of systems and methods provide for the elimination of parasitic conductive paths between cells, and/or precise passive control of fluid pressures within cells. In some embodiments, a fixed volume of electrolyte is substantially retained within each cell while efficiently collecting and removing produced gases or other products from the cell.

Air traffic control information in the voice activity is identified using an artificial intelligence algorithm. A text transcript of the air traffic control information is generated and displayed on a confirmation display. Voice activity in the audio signal may be detected by identifying portions of the audio signal that comprise speech based on a comparison between the power spectrum of the audio signal and the power spectrum of noise and forming speech segments comprising the portions of the audio signal that comprise speech.

    Abstract: A method of generating a sequence of commands to gather information using a directed tree graph includes providing a plurality of goals, each goal having a weighting, and a set of commands that lead to completion of the goals. A directed tree graph is constructed comprising a root node, respective leaf nodes associated with the goals, and one or more parent nodes. Each node is associated with one command, the command having the potential to complete any goals associated with the node and all the goals associated with any subordinate nodes. The priority of each command is determined, based on the sum of the goal weightings of leaf nodes subordinate to the node associated with the command. One or more commands is executed, a command having a higher priority being executed before a command having a lower priority.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing high efficiency solar cells is disclosed. The method comprises providing a thin dielectric layer and a doped polysilicon layer on the back side of a silicon substrate. Subsequently, a high quality oxide layer and a wide band gap doped semiconductor layer can both be formed on the back and front sides of the silicon substrate. A metallization process to plate metal fingers onto the doped polysilicon layer through contact openings can then be performed. The plated metal fingers can form a first metal gridline. A second metal gridline can be formed by directly plating metal to an emitter region on the back side of the silicon substrate, eliminating the need for contact openings for the second metal gridline. Among the advantages, the method for manufacture provides decreased thermal processes, decreased etching steps, increased efficiency and a simplified procedure for the manufacture of high efficiency solar cells.

    Abstract: Implementations described herein include a system for guiding medical waste fluid into a medical waste collection canister. The system includes a manifold and a filter. The manifold includes a top surface and a sidewall extending from the top surface in a first direction. The top surface and the sidewall define an interior chamber of the manifold. The top surface includes an inlet port and a vacuum port disposed therein. The inlet port connects to a source of medical waste fluid and the vacuum port connects to a vacuum source. The manifold can be formed from a first polymer. A filter is positioned within the interior chamber of the manifold and immediately upstream of the vacuum port so as to filter air flowing into the vacuum port. The filter extends away from the top surface of the manifold in the first direction and the filter is formed from a second polymer.
