Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for manipulating the temperature of a surface are provided. Devices of the present disclosure may include a thermal adjustment apparatus, such as a controller in electrical communication with one or more thermoelectric materials, placed adjacent to the surface of skin. The device may generate a series of thermal pulses at the surface, for providing an enhanced thermal sensation for a user. The thermal pulses may be characterized by temperature reversibility, where each pulse includes an initial temperature adjustment, followed by a return temperature adjustment, over a short period of time (e.g., less than 120 seconds). The average rate of temperature change upon initiation and upon return may be between about 0.1° C./sec and about 10.0° C./sec. • Patent number: 10763108
Abstract: Provided are methods for the selective deposition of material on a sidewall surface of a patterned feature. In some embodiments, the methods involve providing a substrate having a feature recessed from a surface of the substrate. The feature has a bottom and a sidewall which extends from the bottom. A conformal film is deposited on the feature using an atomic layer deposition (ALD) process. The conformal film deposited on the bottom is modified by exposing the substrate to directional plasma such that the conformal film on the bottom is less dense than the conformal film on the sidewall. The modified conformal film deposited on the bottom of the feature is preferentially etched. Also provided are methods for the selective deposition on a horizontal surface of a patterned feature.

  • Patent number: 10758649
Abstract: Implementations described herein include a system for guiding medical waste fluid into a medical waste collection canister. The system includes a manifold and a filter. The manifold includes a top surface and a sidewall extending from the top surface in a first direction. The top surface and the sidewall define an interior chamber of the manifold. The top surface includes an inlet port and a vacuum port disposed therein. The inlet port connects to a source of medical waste fluid and the vacuum port connects to a vacuum source. The manifold can be formed from a first polymer. A filter is positioned within the interior chamber of the manifold and immediately upstream of the vacuum port so as to filter air flowing into the vacuum port. The filter extends away from the top surface of the manifold in the first direction and the filter is formed from a second polymer.

  • Patent number: 10748068
Abstract: An approach for predictively scoring test case results in real-time. Test case results associated with a test run are received by a software testing environment. Using predictive statistical models, test case results and attribute relationships are matched against model rules and test case history. A statistical correlation and confidence parameter provide the ability to generate test case relationships for predicting the outcome of other test cases in the test run. The test case relationships are transformed into scoring results and output for the further processing.
